Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma provides free civil legal services to eligible disaster survivors. More information can be found by calling the LASO Disaster Hotline at 888-602-8494 or by applying online at tinyurl.com/tulsalegalhelp.
Eligible Tulsans in need of assistance with the water and sewer portion of utility bills can apply now for the Low Income Housing Water Assistance Program (LIHWAP).
Open enrollment for the program can be found online at: www.okdhslive.org
A red banner will appear at the top of the page which links to the application. If you are an interested customer, you will need to fill out the entire OKDHS application for your household. You will then be directed to a list of benefits that your household is eligible for. From here, you should select LIHEAP/LIHWAP and continue with that specific application.
It’s important to note that LIHWAP eligibility is determined by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services (OKDHS) and that LIHWAP does not provide direct payments to utility customers. Instead, it provides payments to the City of Tulsa on behalf of the utility account. LIHWAP’s priority is to ensure households whose services have been disconnected due to non-payment, or are about to be disconnected, are able to have their services restored as quickly as possible.
Tulsa utility customers who end up utilizing the program will still be responsible for any delinquent or current balance for other utilities that make up their utility bill, such as refuse & recycling fees and EMSA fees (if opted in).
More information about LIHWAP can be found online.

To prepare for the citywide greenwaste pickup, you should:
🌳 Stack (do not tie) greenwaste in lengths no longer than 5 feet long at the curb
🌳 Make sure greenwaste is not placed in the street, around mailboxes, buildings, or on the tops of utility lids or boxes
🌳 Make sure cars are not parked in front of greenwaste, or it may interfere with pickup operations
🌳 Make sure greenwaste is not bagged, as only yard waste should be bagged
🌳 Make sure greenwaste is free from storm debris, or it will not be picked up
