Cultural Orientation, a 4-session class that helps newcomer adults in Tulsa navigate their new lives in the US. During their first month here, participants learn about essential topics like housing, healthcare, employment, and public safety—preparing them to become self-sufficient and well-adjusted members of our community.

You can play a vital role in this important process! By joining our transportation team, you’ll help ensure that our clients can attend these crucial sessions and start their journey on the right foot.

To make their transition smoother, we’re collecting household cleaning supplies to give these families a fresh start. 🧽🧴

Rising Village is now officially a refugee resettlement agency as an affiliate of World Relief! 🎉 We are thrilled to expand our mission and work with World Relief to support refugees here in our city. If you are new to refugee resettlement, this means that we have the privilege of accepting refugees from other countries and helping them start full, successful lives here in the United States. As an affiliate resettlement agency, we will have access to resources through World Relief and the US government to ensure that we are providing the best opportunities for the marginalized here in Tulsa.

Today is the day! We can’t wait to celebrate our new space with our faithful volunteers, students, and new friends. We would love for you to join us! DM for the address. See you between 4-8pm.

Today is World Refugee Day - a day where we turn our hearts to those who have had to leave their physical home but also their whole lives. We recognize these families but also hold out our hands to receive them with open arms and open minds.

Let us not just take today but everyday to love and care for the ones who mourn for the loss of their country. Walking along side these families to help hem become participants in their new community.

Rising Village is growing this year, and our need for financial support is growing too, as we work to advocate for and stand with refugees in new ways. So many in our program have had to give up their homes, belongings, careers, and proximity to loved ones in the pursuit of safety and security. Join us as we welcome them to a new home, foster relationships, and provide employment training through our sewing program. Our students bring such joy and skill to every class and we love sewing together. We can’t wait to see what they make and brag on their progress this semester!

We need volunteers for Tuesday night sewing class! We will begin this week and end the week of Nov. 14th.

Our July Summer Class is underway! Our students made pillowcases and tote bags and have graduated to pajama pants today! The whir of the machines makes the sewing room sound like a choir of stitches.
