In observance of Independence Day, our office will be closed on Thursday, July 4th. July 4th is also a Federal Banking Holiday, which means banks and the Federal Reserve will also be closed. If you have a payroll dated between Friday, July 5th through Tuesday, July 10th, you may need to transmit one day earlier than normal, so call or email us and we will work with you to process early.

Heads up! Our office will be closed on *Wednesday, June 19th as we honor Juneteenth*.

On a recent trip to Galveston, I was reminded of the the history regarding Juneteenth. Even though the Emancipation Proclamation was effectively executed by Abraham Lincoln in 1863, freedom for the 250,000 enslaved people in the state of Texas finally came over two years later on June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston Bay to declare the end of slavery in the United States. This day came to be known as "Juneteenth," by the newly freed people in Texas, and now represents a vital day of reflection and celebration.

Juneteenth serves as a federal banking holiday, which means the Federal Reserve will be closed and Red River will not be able to process any ACH transactions on Wednesday. If you haven't already, please submit payroll today for check dates on Friday, June 21st!
