π Brand new and bright blue!
π€ Ms. H has a new grandson on the way and wanted her home to be ready to help care for him. Luckily, RTT was able to help! In 2017, we provided her with a new roof and this time around we were able to help out with some Energy Efficiency and Safe at Home repairs.
βοΈ Ms. H got new exterior rails, a secure gate, siding repairs, and, most importantly, pest control!
π‘ We were able to transform her home into a safe place for her family to gather and for her to age peacefully.
Ms. W keeps her grandchildren frequently since their mom works the night shift, so it is important that the home is safe and comfortable. RTT was able to help with this by giving this family a brand new roof! No more leaks, mold, or bugs. We also provided Ms. W with more Energy Efficiency and Safe at Home repairs including grab bars and front steps.
"I can age in my home a lot more safely than I could before. It feels safer, it's cleaner."
Repairs like this are made possible by our community support! To continue making our neighborhoods more safe and secure, we need YOUR help! Click the link to make a donation and help families like Ms. W's.
"What they are doing is making me feel better about my house. I still can't believe that this is happening to me!" π
This is what Ms. D said in response to the Safe at Home and Energy Efficiency repairs that we made on her home. She has lived here for over 50 years but struggled in recent years with the upkeep. Her daughter reached out to us and we were able to add grab bars in the bathroom, exterior handrails on the steps, and replace her windows and doors (among other repairs!!)
This is - so homeowners like Ms. D can age peacefully in place π‘
None of it would be possible without the hard work and dedication of our staff. Thank you for all you do - not everyone is pictured but everyone is a piece of our puzzle.
Happy to all π«Ά

Revitalize T-Town Helps Repair Home For Tulsa Couple A nonprofit that repairs houses for families in need is fixing up the long-time home of a Tulsa couple.
Ms.W is a kind, hardworking woman who loves her family. She has struggled in recent years with her physical health, making it difficult to navigate the home she has lived in for 30 years.
"I can't walk in a straight line, I can't stand straight"
Ms.W's great-granddaughter lives with her and just started the seventh grade. Going is expensive and Ms.W struggles to make ends meet ππWe are able to relieve some of this financial burden by making some much-needed improvements to their home!
Check out the interior and exterior repairs we are focusing on. Now, they can just worry about typical seventh-grade things instead of their safety and security π₯°π«Άπ‘
β¨"It's hard to get my age and not be able to take care of my house like I wish I could..." β¨

Meet Ms.W - a mother, a grandmother, a teacher. She worked for years at Tulsa Public Schools as a reading specialist - she especially loved working with 2nd and 3rd graders.
Ms. W struggles with fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis in addition to the back, knee, and foot surgeries. Her health issues make it extra difficult to navigate her home. Her bathroom was a particular area of worry for her - "some days it is hard to lift this old leg. I canβt take baths because I canβt get down in the tub...β
We were able to provide Safe at Home repairs for Ms. W including bathroom grab bars, new tiling and a shower door, bath storage, and a handheld shower. This will make it easier for her to π§‘

Mr. M followed in his parents' footsteps when he began welding at the age of 7. Before retiring, he traveled on his motorcycle all over the southwest United States, Mexico, and Chile. He loves traveling but has spent the past few years confined to his home with asthma, COPD, neuropathy of his bands, legs, and feet, and compressed vertebrae.
Last year's storm sent his neighbor's tree through his roof, collapsing the ceiling over his bedroom. Since then, Mr. M's roof leaks on him when he sleeps. We were able to help him with a brand-new roof PLUS window and exterior replacements, sheetrock repair, a new crawl space door, and SO MUCH MORE!
𧑠"I haven't been this happy in a long time. Thank you so much. I don't have to worry anymore" π§‘
Ms. B has had a rough five years losing two of her sons and her husband on top of her own injuries and ailments. Her heartache and health issues have made it difficult for her to keep up with her home. This is . Ms. M moved into her home 26 years ago, a house that was previously inhabited by her son. Her son is now incarcerated and she lives in fear he will escape prison. Another worry is that the large trees will fall on her home, especially after the damage she endured during last summer's storm. We are here to help π©΅
Ms. Z and her son have lived in this home for 20 years. He struggles with mental disabilities and has found his outlet in art, which now hangs throughout their home. Ms. Z has tried to keep up with her repairs over the years but has struggled as she ages. Their home will need extensive Safe at Home and Energy Efficiency repairs including replacing exterior stairs and brand new windows - look at the state of them now!

This is - to bridge the gap between what our homeowners need and what they are capable of doing.
This is Ms. H - a wonderful woman who loves spending time in her garden. She worked for years at Texaco, Dollar General, and a few factories. She worries about her safety - her doors do not close all the way and her windows are so drafty. Her exterior doors are unsecure, so she has to sleep with them open.
We are so glad that we get to provide Ms. H with Safe at Home repairs. After our crew is done, she will no longer have to worry about a break-in, tripping on her uneven floors, or falling down the front steps ππ«π
Remember Mr. and Ms. G from the TY note? Here is their story and a brief look into the repairs we are currently working on for their home. They are receiving repairs in all three of our programs - Safe at Home, Energy Efficiency, and Roofs. This will ensure that they can feel secure in their home and keep hosting generations of their family for years to come π§‘
Is a thing? Or just ? Either way, we are thankful for Mr. and Ms. G's neighbors who recommended them for RTT's repairs. Mr. and Ms. G spread so much light in their community and their neighbors wanted to return this love by providing resources so they can age peacefully in place, surrounded by their children, grandchildren, and friends π‘π«Άπ«

Omg, Tulsa is hot! βοΈπ₯΅β¨οΈβ±οΈπ
Just walking outside feels like you are MELTING. This heat is even worse for our older neighbors. So, as the temperatures ramp up, we are so glad we get to offer our clients Energy Efficiency repairs. Through this program, RTT helps homeowners like Mr. and Ms. A keep their home cool during these warm months.
Revitalize T-Town helped Ms. H in 2017 with Energy Efficiency repairs, which drastically changed her energy bill. This past year, she came to us seeking Safe at Home repairs.
Ms. H has been going to physical therapy and will soon have to get back surgery. This makes it harder than usual for her to move about her home. She has a new grandson due in August, so she wants to get her home safe and secure so she can help with him.
Thanks to our generous donors, Ms. H now has new plumbing along with other Safe at Home repairs. The RTT crew also trimmed back the limbs that hung over her house to prevent any roof damage.
Ms. R has trouble navigating her basement stairs to move her clothes from the washer to the dryer - so much so that her son has to come over and help her with her laundry. Her children and her neighbors worry about her tripping on the uneven ground or falling when she gets in and out of the bathtub.
With our Safe at Home repairs, Revitalize T-Town is able to help elderly homeowners age in peace. This helps relieve the stress from Ms. R's family and friends, knowing she is safe and secure in her own home.
HOLIDAY NOTICE - Revitalize T-Town will be closed Wednesday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We will continue to make repairs on Thursday, June 20th.
June is and we get to celebrate the wonderful clients that we help.

Prior to RTT's repairs, Mr. P struggled to navigate his home due to uneven flooring. He was constantly worried about slipping in the bathroom or falling off the porch.
With our Safe at Home Repairs, Mr. P's family can be at ease knowing their loved one is safe and secure in his home.
This is - to provide the repairs that our neighbors never thought they would receive π©΅π§‘π
The Before and After of Mr. G's exterior door shows the drastic changes that RTT can provide to our Tulsa neighbors. This Safe at Home repair means the homeowner does not worry about their door caving in from the wind or someone breaking in πͺππ§‘
