This is what I love about interior design. You can make your house exactly what you want!

Where there’s a will, there’s a way. This bathroom remodel needed a creative solution for the linen cabinet that was re-allocated for the walk in closet. In addition to adding a cabinet over the vanity, a console table creates a functional and beautiful storage solution.

They are calling Bookshelf Wealth a new trend for 2024. I just call it good design, and good design never goes out of style. Photos from a living room project completed 2-1/2 years ago.

Clients often ask me “what’s good for resale?” My answer - Unless you plan to sell within a year, do what you want. Don’t worry about someone who may, or may not, buy a house you may, or may not, sell. I have learned time and time again do what you like, and not what you think is safe. If you do end up selling, more times than not, it will make your house stand out from all the rest. It’s more likely you’ll never want to leave. White and bright! Hopefully this white kitchen makes you feel a little cooler today.

Small houses need rooms that perform multiple functions like this mudroom.
Before it was used as a small office off the kitchen with six feet of the room being used just for walkway. While I hate to lose natural light, we needed wallspace! We removed the windows and relocated the door to the center of the room. I chose a door that would add some of that natural light back in.
Now we had room for the laundry, which was previously in their hallway, a pantry which was non existent in their old kitchen, and still have room to hang coats and drop keys.
Often times the space is there; it just needs to be reorganized!

It’s almost the weekend and it’s going to be a long one! I don’t work in an office anymore, but I’ve designed a few and hopefully it’s made the workplace an enjoyable place to be for those who work there and helped them provide the best service to their customers. Enjoy the weekend and Happy 4th!

Hitting the refresh button this Monday. The catalyst for change in this kitchen was a cracked floor tile which led to new countertops, and a new backspalsh. Might as well update the light fixture and hood while your at it.

Lesson learned?…..cheaper is not always better. The less expensive tile ended up costing a lot more in the end.

Be bold with your design choices!

Man it’s hard to make furniture selections right? And it’s even harder when you are just refreshing a few pieces. While I’m here to make all those selections, I still like to provide a few options. Which one is your favorite combo?
