Happy Labor Day! 🎉 Today, we celebrate the incredible contributions of workers across our nation. Did you know that Labor Day has roots dating back to the late 19th century? The first Labor Day parade took place on September 5, 1882, in New York City, organized by the Central Labor Union to honor the American labor movement and the power of collective action. It became a federal holiday in 1894, thanks to the efforts of labor activists who fought tirelessly for fair working conditions. Enjoy your day off and take a moment to appreciate the hard work that has shaped our country! 💪✨

Ever wonder what it’s like to work with people in healthcare? Everyone has their little quirks and ticks, but in healthcare you see a little bit of every type of personality. There are quirky people everywhere in healthcare and surgery is no exception. Learning to work effectively with all types of personalities in, what can be, a stressful situation is something that we train our students for in the Surgical Technology lab. All of our students perform a variety of mock surgeries and we do our very best to expose them to as close to real-life scenarios as possible.
Success looks good on our graduates!!

Thinking of a career in Health Care Administration? Here is some advice from one of our most recent graduates: "This program just takes a year to complete with endless possibilities to work in. You still have the opportunity to help patients without being hands-on and still impact someone's life. The health field is also growing and in demand which brings job security. Great program to join!" -Joann, Health Care Administration Graduate

Ever wonder what one of the BEST qualities of a great Medical Assistant is? A positive attitude. When patients don’t feel well or are nervous, they may take their frustrations out on people trying to help them. In these situations, a positive attitude can go a long way! The best patient experience starts and ends with a Medical Assistant, and an assistant with a positive attitude may just change the patient's whole day.
Things are looking WILD in the Vet Assistant classroom!
