It is with great disappointment that we must announce the indefinite postponement of the We Champion You: Small Business Showcase that was set to occur this Saturday at WorkHub.

Given the rapidly rising number of COVID-19 cases in East Texas, we decided that it would be in everyone’s best interest to hold off the event until a future date. We plan on highlighting the small businesses who were involved on the WorkHub and Outside The Box social media pages in the coming weeks. We urge everyone to stay safe, follow proper social distancing guidelines, and support each other.

We have the pleasure to announce the Outside The Box* Ambassador for the upcoming We Champion You: Small Business Showcase in partnership with WorkHub. Taryn Coffey, the owner and founder of Event & Company, has a resume that spans many different fields - her experiences include the United States Army Reserve, a stay-at-home mom, country club management, non-profit work, home organization, and many, many events. Not only that, but she can make any event look stunning down to the finest detail. Her eye for design is fantastic and it is our privilege to have her as an Ambassador at the showcase. Come to the We Champion You: Small Business Fair on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 - 2:00 (FREE ENTRY!) to take a look at Taryn’s wonderful rentals, decorative abilities, and turnkey bar service.

We are teaming up with WorkHub to celebrate their second anniversary by showcasing small businesses in East Texas! Please join us on Saturday, June 27th from 10:00 to 2:00 at WorkHub to network, celebrate, and support local businesses, entrepreneurs, and nonprofits. We can’t wait to see you there!

It’s time for another Outside the Box* Small Business Highlight! This week, we want to highlight the Advantage Roofing Company, who has been proudly providing roof repairs and services in Tyler and its surrounding areas since 2008! They offer many roofing services such as fast storm damage repair, routine roof maintenance, and even no-contact inspections! It’s Small Business Highlight time! This week, we are highlighting Caffé Corretto: Espresso Catering, the mobile coffee bar service. Caffé Corretto shows innovation with their beautiful mobile carts and their delicious coffee shop drinks! From americanos to caffé correttos (from where they get their namesake), this mobile coffee and espresso bar truly shows that they think outside the box! Our Small Business Highlight of the Week is A Glassy Life! She takes recycled, broken, and crushed glass and makes beautiful custom art! Her ability to take glass and recycled materials and transform them into her fantastic art shows how well she can think outside the box! This week's Small Business Highlight of the Week is Top Knot Macrame Co.! She hand makes a wide selection of amazing macrame pieces like earrings, necklaces, and plant holders! Now more than ever, we should be supporting each other. Small and local businesses help drive the East Texas community, and recent shutdowns due to COVID-19 are making it more and more difficult. We should extend helping hands and assist where we can. Help support the small businesses and business owners of East Texas by tagging some of your favorites in the comments below! That way, we can show appreciation for the businesses we love while also spreading awareness! Even if the businesses you want to tag are closed, go ahead and tag them! Let’s spread the love to everyone we can and help !
