Catalyst for student pharmacists’ professional growth through the interprofessional collaboration of knowledge and dedication to quality patient care.
Thank you to our Operation To***co Cessation Chair, Melody Battles (P1), for hosting a watch party event for a Ni****ne & Mental Health webinar collaborated by Eliminate To***co Use & Truth Initiative!
Ni****ne levels in e-ci******es are highly variable, with some reaching or exceeding levels found in combustible ci******es. Ni****ne is harmful to developing brains: younger users are more likely to become addicted, have more difficulty quitting and may be at a higher risk for addiction to other substances in the future.
If you or someone you know is struggling with a ni****ne addiction, there are va**ng cessation text messages for young adults and teens called truth’s This is Quitting:
- Easy enrollment: text VAPEFREETX to 88709
- Completely confidential, available 24/7
- Option to set a quit date
- On-demand support for stress, cravings, relapse, and more
- Up to 12 weeks of daily text messages
Test your knowledge with our questions and swipe to see the correct answer!

On this 35th anniversary of World AIDS Day, APhA joins the international community in observing the event. It's a significant chance to commemorate the lives lost to the pandemic, increase public awareness of HIV infection, and pledge to continue the fight to end HIV as a danger to public health.
In order to increase access to HIV PrEP and PEP, pharmacists are essential. As of right now, 27 states have population-based collaborative practice agreements or statewide orders or protocols that permit pharmacists to independently prescribe PEP and/or PrEP. Merely 14 states have established payment mechanisms that allow pharmacists to get reimbursement from Medicaid and/or commercial insurance for services related to HIV care.
Empower, educate, and unite for a world free from stigma. On this World AIDS Day, let's raise awareness, spread love, and stand together in solidarity.
Our FCOP APhA-ASP chapter was able to host a booth at CountryFest this year in Lindale, TX! The booth was hosted by our Operation Chairs for Heart, Diabetes, and OTC Medication Safety. The booth involved services that ranged from blood glucose and blood pressure monitoring, OTC medication counseling to a fun interactive game involving identifying medications vs. candy for adults and kids!
Thank you to Dr. Carley Johnson for advising our FCOP students on ways to improve their CV!

What is a curriculum vitae (CV)?
A CV is a document that contains comprehensive descriptions of your academic credentials and achievements. CVs are given to residency programs, fellowships, and many other professional programs that candidates apply to.
Happy Women Pharmacist Day! Women have been in the profession of pharmacy since the late 1600s & early 1700s. Even today, women continue to make huge innovations and contributions in the career of pharmacy. Don’t forget to take the time to recognize a woman in pharmacy that has made an impact in your life!

As of August 21st of this year, the FDA has officially approved the very first vaccine for use in pregnant women* to prevent lower respiratory tract disease (LRTD) and severe LRTD caused by respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
What is RSV?
• RSV is a common cause of illness in children, and infants are among those at highest risk for severe disease, which can lead to hospitalization.
*Abrysvo is approved specifically for use in pregnant individuals at 32 through 36 weeks gestation.
This approval is a huge step in healthcare for pregnant individuals by providing them with the option to protect their infants from this potentially life threatening disease.
