ETHF is a martial arts group focusing on the swordplay of the late Medieval and early Renaissance periods.
We are a historical European martial arts (HEMA) club out of Tyler and serving all of East Texas. Members work at reconstructing the martial traditions of Europe through both physical training and research.

Had a great time teaching at career day yesterday! Had some good discussions on coaching as a career, fencing and what we do, and let everyone hold some of our trainers.

Our Story
ETHF is a historical European martial arts (HEMA) school in Tyler serving all of East Texas. Founded in 2015, members work at reconstructing the martial traditions of Europe through both physical training and research.
Classes teach the martial tradition of Fiore de’i Liberi: a knight, diplomat, and fencing master of the late 14th century. His fencing and martial art treatise The Flower of Battle, forms the basis of our curriculum; with a focus on unarmed grappling, use and defense against the dagger, and the sword in two hands (longsword).
We gladly welcome members of all genders, sizes, and fitness levels.
