This week’s spotlight is on Krista Bragg. Krista is returning to campus this fall to complete the final year of her 5-year STEM program in Instruction and Curriculum. She’s excited to reconnect with friends and professors on campus.
One piece of advice she wishes she had known before starting her freshman year: “Don’t overpack. I realized that much of what I brought to campus wasn’t necessary, and you can always buy things as the year goes on (like whiteboards, puzzles, paint, etc.). However, I do recommend bringing essentials like a printer and a TV or projector, as I found them to be incredibly useful over the years.”

Ashley Muhando, ’23, is returning to Kean as a graduate student this fall to earn her M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology. Ashley says she is looking forward to campus life and all the events on campus, and to making more memories with her cohort!

Did you know Kean University has seven active art spaces on the main campus located in Union, New Jersey?

Six art galleries host professional nationally and internationally recognized artists who are involved in solo and group shows, traveling exhibitions, and immersive experiences. Plus, there is a dedicated gallery for our student shows, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their work.

The Galleries at Kean feature work by historical figures, contemporary, and ultra-contemporary artists presenting all types of art. New exhibitions are featured in each gallery twice a year. Kean is also home to an array of outdoor sculptures and an extensive contemporary art collection which is highlighted across campus.
