A couple of weeks ago, six SGAC Devil Dogs competed at the 2024 USMC USA Wrestling 16U/Junior Greco-Roman/Freestyle National Championships in Fargo, ND. Five were on the Team GA National Team and one was on the Team FL National Team. Kori Campbell (Valdosta), Samantha Patton (Cook), Addi Braswell (Tift), Noah Scott (Lowndes), Rolando Gonzalez (Cook) and Jasper Croom (Tallahassee) all represented SGAC, Team GA and Team FL extremely well at the largest tournament in the world against the best of the best throughout the Nation. Kori, Addi and Sam also competed in the Beach Wrestling Championship, where Kori won Gold and Addi placed 3rd to help Team GA bring home 2nd place! Kori also got a 5 Point throw, which is no easy task at this level and went deep into the tournament, coming within a match of being an All American. We are very proud of the hard work they put into their preparation and performance. We are also grateful for Todd Parramore, a long time SGAC Board Member, who generously helped sponsor some of our wrestlers, ensuring that they had the chance to achieve their goals.
Kori will be heading off to Lindsay Wilson College to continue her wrestling career, but the rest will be back next year and ready to fight for their place on the podium. Well done Devil Dogs!!
What makes coaching at Fargo even better? Running into our old Devil Dogs who are now coaching for other States! One of the original SGAC Devil Dogs, Paul Bess, is coaching for Team FL and Savannah Stacks is back again coaching for Team OH. I’m feeing very proud right now.
Our girls are ready to rumble!!!!

We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge our lone schoolboy wrestler representing us on the 2024 Team GA USA Wrestling National Team. SGAC Devil Dog Brighton Prine had a great season, winning the Greco-Roman State Championship, placing 2nd in Freestyle State, and then traveling with the Schoolboy National Team to PA and competing strong there. We are very proud of you Brighton! The future holds great things for you on and off the mat!!
Congratulations to our SGAC Devil Dogs Sam Patton, Kori Campbell and Ian Stephens on making the Outstanding Individual Performance SEWrestle list.
Sam and Kori had incredible matches on both Women’s Freestyle and Greco, while Ian stood out at Men’s Greco.
Very proud of all of them.
Special thanks to SEWrestle for their coverage on Team Georgia during National Duals.

SGAC Devil Dogs Sam Patton and Kori Campbell earned their Flight Instructor Certifications last week at the 2024 AFSW USA Junior Women’s Duals Championships in Tulsa, OK! Sam got two 5 point throws and Kori got one. Getting a 5 at this level is not easy, but they sure made it look that way.
Just this…
SGAC Devil Dog Kori Campbell made the All Freestyle Tournament Team by going 9-0 at the 2024 USA Women’s Junior Duals in Tulsa, OK!! She was one of only two wrestlers in the entire tournament to win all 9 of her matches and the only one from GA to go undefeated. We are very proud of you Kori!!!

Happy Father’s Day to all our SGAC Devil Dog Dads! Hope you have an awesome day!!
SGAC Devil Dogs were well represented at the Lowndes High wrestling clinic led by 4 of our Old Devil Dogs and Lowndes graduates.
Dominic DiTomasso (UTC), Cole, Ethan and Hunter McCullough (Newberry College) spent their Monday volunteering and sharing some of the knowledge and skills they have acquired over the years with their fellow Devil Dogs and Lowndes county wrestlers.
Dominic, Cole, Ethan and Hunter continue to give back to SGAC, along with other old Devil Dogs, by helping Coach our practices during their Summer break.
We are proud of them and all our wrestlers.
