✨️ Each year, we elect new members to the Torch Club Council which focused on character and leadership, providing candidates with an opportunity to present themselves and their reasons for running for positions such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and more. This election process not only fosters their leadership skills but also prepares them for future roles, whether in school or in their everyday lives.

Moody Keystone was back at it again,supporting the Valdosta community while fulfilling the commitment of community service at Second Harvest. The Keystoners were very eager to help with supplying food for children and their families who sometimes don't have food throughout the week.The keystones were able to help bag can goods and help box for the families reassuring that children would eat with second harvest being one the suppliers for our Valdosta Community.

Join us for an exciting trip to see the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra's "Star Wars: A New Hope in Concert." Enjoy a screening of the complete film with John Williams' iconic Oscar-winning score performed live. The concert, conducted by John Jesensky, promises a fantastic experience for all youth.

⚾️ Moody AFB Youth Sports Programs is still seeking volunteer coaches for Fall Soccer and the current sports year.

🥅 No previous coaching experience is required.
All interested coaches must:
• Successfully clear all installation and national background checks prior to being allowed to coach.
• Be at least 18 years of age
• Complete a volunteer coach packet
• Attend the mandatory coaches training
• Must have CPR/First Aid, SABC, or equivalent

We’re excited to collaborate with Hubert Field and Warner Robbins for a special Smart Girls Lock-In! This event will provide Pre-Teens with a memorable evening to make new friends and enhance their self-confidence, self-esteem, communication skills, and more. Space is limited, so be sure to register soon! Spots will fill up fast!

We're excited to share that we've added seven new Red Cross Certified CPR/First Aid Certified instructors to our team! These skilled professionals will not only help certify our caregivers and coaches in basic CPR and First Aid but also play a key role as we reintroduce our Babysitter Certification courses at Youth Programs for teens aged 13 and up!

As summer comes to a close, we can't help but feel a little bittersweet. It's been an incredible few months filled with laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories with the amazing kids here at youth programs. Watching them grow, explore, and connect has been such a joy. We’ll miss their energy, curiosity, and the special moments we’ve shared. Thank you to all the families who entrusted us with their summer—until next year! 🌞👋 🚌❤️😎

Valdosta City Schools will remain closed through Tuesday, August 6, 2024 as our community works to recover from the damages caused by Tropical Storm Debby. Several members of the Wildcat family are still without power, as are some of our schools, and we have reports of water in some of our buildings.

We will continue to monitor further impacts of the storm as it is still slowly passing through our community. Please stay off the roads and stay safe.

All schools and offices of Valdosta City Schools will be closed on Monday, August 5, 2024 as we anticipate severe weather conditions associated with Tropical Storm Debby.

⚾️🏀 Pre-K Sports Skills Camp ⚽️🏈

Our Sports Program held a camp for “new to sports” 3 & 4 year olds. Our campers and their Parent Partner practiced skills and drills in the areas of baseball, soccer, football, basketball, and agility. Our youngsters had a great time learning sports basics and mechanics.

Green Group made some wild memories together on our LAST field trip for the School Age Program! 🦁 🎢 Our day was full of thrilling rides, amazing wildlife, and unforgettable fun! 😎
