Open Vallejo is on top of the action in Vallejo. The new news service has been investigating issues of corruption and misbehavior in Vallejo nearly two years.
One of the most recent stories has revealed the Vallejo Police Chief Shawny Williams is accused by former Lt. Herman Robinson, Vallejo’s longest-serving police officer, of making false statements under oath as Williams sought to fire him, records obtained by Open Vallejo show.
Questions about the reasons for Robinson’s firing and his effort to clear his name and be re-instated is just the latest scandal to rock the beleaguered Vallejo Police Department.
Today we will have Open Vallejo reporter, Laurence Du Sault, on El Show for the first time to explain this story and what it means for the Vallejo Police Department and Vallejo in general.
All of this and some very cool music. This is El Show de Andres Soto on KPFA 94.1 FM in Berkeley. Si Se Puede!!! All Power to the People!!!

We’re approaching our 9th year fighting for , how long has it been for you? Show us your justice then and now pics in the the comments.
It takes a lot of courage to stand in opposition of wrongdoings of police, especially when it's the unpopular opinion. For those of us who have been affected by unjust police murder, we value the friendships that we have made along the way, those who have comforted us in our time of need, have been a shoulder to cry on, a resource provider or even just an ear to listen, Today on the angelversary of her passing, we want to take the time to recognize an angel that we were blessed to know, spend time with ,develop a special bond with as well as share a mutual vision for change in Vallejo , Maria was special kind of angel, selfless, wanting to save the world, she though of everyone else before her self with a vision to bring the entire Vallejo Together a vision that she worked diligently on. She stood with us when we were hated for exposing Vallejo Police for murdering , She didn't care about the backlash or focus on the evil hiding in plain sight, she stood with us as we demanded transparency and , I recall a conversation we once had, where we were describing how Mario wanted to save everyone and solve everyone's problems, This was the day that we discovered that Maria and Mario shared the same birthday, as I write this post, I am filled with various emotions, So glad to be blessed to know such a wonderful person but sad to remember another beautiful life cut short. We love. miss you and we will never forget you ,Maria Guevara .💓💓💓💞💕❣️
Stay Woke FAM ❤️❤️❤️
Please Don't Wear A Sombrero: What Cinco De Mayo Really Means, From A Mexican The real tragedy for me is that a day that once represented Black and brown solidarity -- and resistance against colonialism -- has been mired by a commercial whitewashing, writes Maria Garcia.
Today should be celebrating his 23rd birthday with his family and friends but he is not, instead his family and friends have been left to mourn his memory, all because he was murdered by a Vallejo Police officer. His family is sadly apart of a club that nobody should ever have to be apart of, They join the families of and so many more whose families have been forever shattered by the reckless behavior of Vallejo Police officers.
On this day we remember who was murdered by Oxnard Police officer March 28,2015. Please keep her mother Mother, Monique, sister Misha and family in your prayers during this difficult time. Stands with you in this continued fight for justice for our loved ones.

Thank you Brian Krans , These are the murders that keep us up at night. The terror, harassment and intimidation that has followed to keep these murders buried is like something that you see in the movies. , and so many more....This is why, sitting and doing nothing is not an option.

“The rally marks the two-year anniversary of my brother’s murder and we will not stop until the corrupt Vallejo Police Department roots out every officer and command staff member that was involved in the badge bending ritual and subsequent coverup,” says Kori McCoy, brother of Willie McCoy and Co-Founder of the Willie McCoy Foundation.
Description:
The Willie McCoy Foundation and the community of impacted families from across the nation are hosting this rally at the state capitol to raise awareness for the unprecedented corruption involving the Vallejo Police Officers who executed Willie McCoy. The Willie McCoy Foundation and impacted community are demanding the Attorney General immediately initiate a civil rights investigation into the Vallejo Police Department and specifically the recently revealed ritual where Vallejo Police Officers were bending the tips of their badges to commemorate the murder of civilians, including Willie McCoy and Ronell Foster.
Impacted families from across the state and country are joining together to demand reform. The family of Mario Romero will be present at the rally. Mario was murdered by two Vallejo PD Officers in 2012, and one of those officer was responsible for killing three unarmed men in a five-month span. The Romero family recounts, “The City of Vallejo promised to get the Attorney General’s Office involved way back then, but it never happened. At the time of Mario’s death, Attorney General Kamala Harris failed to intervene and the Vallejo PD murder spree continued unchecked.” The Romero family strongly believes, “If Kamala Harris would have done her job in 2012, Willie and many others would still be alive right now!” Samaria Rice, mother of 12-year-old police murder victim Tamir Rice, is coming from Ohio to attend the rally. Ms. Rice traveled across the country to, “Stand in solidarity with the McCoy family against this oppressive, systemically racist system.” Lisa Simpson, mother of Richard Risher, who was “Assassinated by LAPD,” traveled from Southern California to attend the rally because, “It is time for mothers, fathers and loved ones to take back our fight for justice. We are the impacted families and its time for us to get real justice!” Countless other impacted families from Sacramento, Hayward, Richmond, San Jose, Vallejo, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Indianapolis, Dayton, and all over the state and country will be present to support the demand for change.
On February 9, 2019, multiple Vallejo Police Officers shot 55 rounds at Willie McCoy, after he fell asleep waiting in line at a Taco Bell drive thru. According to the family’s attorney Melissa Nold, “Local news outlet Open Vallejo recently revealed that a high-ranking Vallejo Police Captain discovered that the officers involved in the Willie McCoy shooting celebrated Willie’s murder by bending the tips of their badges in a gang culture murder ritual.” “To add insult to injury, it was revealed that former Vallejo Chief of Police Andrew Bidou found out about the badge bending ritual and conspired to cover it up to prevent the public from discovering the officers’ criminal activity.” Nold goes on to say that, “The Vallejo Police Captain who brought the badge bending to the attention of Chief Bidou and other city officials was fired for trying to stop this unprecedented corruption.” According to Attorney Nold, “The badge bending ritual and coverup is completely unprecedented and should result in indictments for federal conspiracy charges.” Nold contends that, “It is shocking that there is not a criminal investigation underway, after a well-respected Vallejo Police Captain revealed this unfathomable betrayal of the public trust and clear violation of state and federal law.”
The impacted families further demand that state legislators, “Immediate initiate legislation requiring state oversight for all officer involved shootings in California and mandatory body worn cameras for all California officers.”
The impacted community will also be asking all California Senators, Assemblypersons and District Attorneys to pledge that they will no longer accept police union donations.

This is so terrible 😒
Meet Justine Damond (left). She is an AUSTRALIAN -AMERICAN who was gunned down by a Minneapolis police officer (who was black) as she approached a squad car. Her killer Mohammed Noor was promptly arrested, tried and convicted. Not only that. The family of Justine Damond was awarded $20,000,000 in a settlement.
Now let's meet Breonna Taylor. Ms. Taylor was an AFRICAN American, who was killed in a botched raid. She was KILLED IN HER SLEEP. Her then home, was WRONGFULLY IDENTIFIED as a drug house. This, oversight we'll call it, was missed by the judge who signed the warrant, the detectives who set it up, the police /swat commanders who designed the raid and the officers who killed her. Subsequently, justice for Breonna Taylor has not materialized. OH BUT WAIT...the Taylor family has been "generously " offered a $12,000,000 settlement by Louisville's police department.
Two women, killed wrongly by those sworn to protect. But a $8,000,000 gap in how their lives are VALUED. But "ALL LIVES MATTER" right? Just not the same apparently. But it gets better... Not only that, but one's killer is in jail ...the other's killer is clocking in for work as we speak.
Show up. Show out. F.A.M. Business
