Attention VESPA dues-paying members!!!
We invite you to join VESPA and VUEA as we host a Member Benefits Fair! There will be several vendors attending to share with you what benefits you can receive by being a dues-paying member. The fair will be on Monday, September 23rd from 3:00pm - 6:00pm in the Ron Halt Community Room at VACE. There will be giveaways, food, beverages and raffle prizes. Not a member? No worries, we will have applications available to sign up for VESPA. We hope to see you there!

The Classified School Employees of the Year Program, sponsored by the California Department of Education, honors the dedicated efforts of our state's exceptional classified school employees. These employees are the unsung heroes who play crucial roles in creating a school environment that fosters student achievement, safety, and health.
CSEY awardees were recognized at an event last week. We would like to celebrate and congratulate nominee Veronica Huerta, School Administrative Assistant I at Montalvo Elementary School, who was selected by the Ventura County Office of Education to represent the county in the Clerical and Administrative Services job category!

Principal Karin Just had this to say about Ms. Huerta:

“Veronica is a thoughtful listener and quick to understand the rationale behind any work task. She then takes the initiative to clarify and devise more efficient ways to complete the job at hand. She anticipates problems and solves them before they become an issue.
Veronica is the first face of our school. She is welcoming, professional, and helpful to students, families, and staff. She easily navigates a variety of supports, from helping with technology and (complicated!) forms to translating for families new to English.”
