There’s something beautiful to watching someone execute on their craft. For Seb of .woodfire that craft has been honed by years of cooking over the fire. His passion for creating not only delicious bites, but moments centered around food are apparent from the second you show up at one of his pop-ups or get the chance to taste his recipes.

Lucky enough for us, we were able to get a group together with Seb to experience that first hand. We documented it all in this first episode of Crafted By Fire.

When we originally sent out an unreleased sample of our Mesh Hat we thought it would live just like that, unreleased. That is until we posted a photo that was flooded with comments and DMs asking us when this was coming out. For us, it was the ultimate proof of concept, and all we needed to hear to move along with production. Well, we’ve got good news. Today after a few months of production we couldn’t be more excited to officially introduce to you all the Mesh Hat in camo.

Introducing the Iron & Resin Wild Harvest Supper Club - A gathering of community around our shared love the outdoors and harvesting the food we eat from the wild. Join us in our backyard Thursday, July 13th for an evening of shared stories, new friendships, good music and a place to prepare and share the food we’ve harvested in the field, ocean and streams. This is a potluck event. Bring something you’ve hunted, speared, fished or foraged to share.

The theme of this season’s Wild Harvest dinner is ‘Taco Night’. Anything that fits into a tortilla a fair game. Stout will be offering beer, wine and whiskey pairings. For Spring '23, we've made key updates to the shoulder straps and the actual duck canvas material. We found the elasticity of the earlier version was a bit too soft and would sag the actual overalls down when weighted with tools and EDC pieces in the pockets. The canvas was slightly too rigid as well so we went down slightly to increase the comfort factor right of the box. ⁠

Post-consumer includes the repurposing of garments and scraps to eliminate the creation of new in the supply chain. Prescribed industrial waste is the recycling of cotton from the actual production process such as the scraps from the spinning and weaving of the cotton. Pretty amazing that we can recycle that into our very own provisions.⁠
