Happy return to school (so sad for summer to end!), but it does mean that Cahaba Concierge Medicine is getting ready for the St. Jude race again! Kaitlyn Handley, Elizabeth Parker and I will be running and raising money for St. Jude again this year. Please consider contributing to THE hospital leading the way in pediatric oncology.

We were so blessed to celebrate our amazing Helen Alexander ‘s birthday today!!🎂🎉. She has been my right hand and friend for over a decade, and for the patients of Cahaba Concierge Medicine, you all know how precious and brilliant she is ❤️ We had a yummy meal and great conversation today, and I couldn’t be more grateful for our Helen!

Thanks to our amazing Cahaba Concierge Medicine family, we’ve reached our fundraising goal just in time for the race!! Thank you to each of our supporters 💕. Kaitlyn, Elizabeth Parker and I are SO ready for our race tomorrow, and we’ve had a great day enjoying the fun of Memphis….from room service, to the Peabody ducks, to the Memphis zoo ( including lunch with a friendly Gibbon), to the beautiful ( and huge!) Peabody Christmas tree, it’s been such a blessed weekend!
And now to running the race!!

Forgot to get a picture until the end of the day, so only 3 of our staff photographed (oops!)but it was a fun Halloween at Cahaba Concierge Medicine today! We hope everyone has had an exciting and sugar-rush filled day!! 🎃🍫🍬 Delta spent most of the day recovering from our neighborhood party last night 😆.

Well…we may look a * bit * older than when we started medical/dental school ( found our old UMC annual during the moving process), but I couldn’t be more blessed to have this fella as the fire-starter for Cahaba Concierge Medicine. We have gratefully reached our initial membership goal!! However, considering the current changes in my former clinic, we are extending our current membership rate for the next month. After September 15th, our monthly membership will increase to $199/month ( but ONLY for new patients…established patients continue with our current membership fees 😊). Say some prayers…the Moores will be U-hauling it this weekend!😣

Day 365 today!!
Tomorrow is Cahaba Concierge Medicine’s official 1 year old birthday, and what year it’s been! While 2021 home visits were sweet, we’re so grateful to have our beautiful clinic on this June 1st, and I’m honored to have a very special new employee this summer. My amazing daughter Elizabeth Parker has joined the staff (and Delta is just a little excited to have his girl here 💕).
I am so grateful for each member of the CCM patient family…here’s to many more years!🥂

Due to spring break, we surprised Julie with a birthday lunch (of course, at Bottega). Celebrating another 39th this year, complete with bubbly Rose and Daughters Baking fabulous cakes😉. I cannot imagine my practice without "nurse Julie" and her compassionate care for our patients. I LOVE you, Julie Battles Dulaney, and thank you Kaitlyn Handley and Helen Alexander for making this lunch amazing. And please help to make Julie's birthday on Monday special! 💕... she is such a special blessing to me and CCM!

Happy Happy Birthday to our Kaitlyn Handley!! She's been part of the Moore family for 8 years, and we couldn't be more blessed to have her in the Cahaba Concierge family as well! I loved our Bottega Cafe lunch, and I love you bunches! 💕💕

Happy first Tuesday of 2022!! We hope everyone enjoyed some holiday rest these past few weeks! As CCM starts its first January, we are excited and grateful to be nearing our membership capacity…what an amazing first 4 months!! Helen, Julie, Kaitlyn and I wish each of our precious patients a wonderful Christmas weekend! We are grateful to care for our extended CCM family and will be enjoying some very needed time with our own families through the weekend. We’re of course available via text/ email/ portal, but we’re hoping for rest and HEALTH for all as we close 2021! ( We will be back in the clinic on Monday and Wednesday of next week in order to prepare everyone for New Year Celebrations!🎉) Much love to all!!

The lake is ready for the season, and I am so very thankful for EACH of our precious patients! This has been such an exciting and enjoyable year with y’all. Praying for a restful and reflective week! So HAPPY to announce that Helen Alexander (my physician assistant and partner in crime for 7+ years) is starting with CCM this week! For those who know Helen, I know you will love catching up with her (and hearing about her darling 14 month old son, Eric), and for new members, you each have an amazing provider to meet! The CCM 4 are all together again! ❤

It’s a little early, but with the upcoming clinic holidays, we decided to decorate Cahaba Concierge early this year!🥰. It’s such a blessing to work (and decorate) with my amazing staff members. Very THANKFUL for Julie Battles Dulaney, Kaitlyn Handley, and Helen Alexander. Girls…it’s been such a fun fall with y’all!!❤️❤️

A huge thank you to the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce and Kathy G & Co for helping to make Cahaba Concierge Medicine’s open house so much fun!! I am so grateful for each patient, Chamber member and friend that came to celebrate with us…my staff and I are truly blessed to know each of you.
(And check out these amazing hand blown Glencairn whiskey glasses!! Thank you Micah Simpson of Glass & Grain! We have a few that will be for sale along with some custom water and old fashioned glasses just in time for Christmas🥰).

Cahaba Concierge Medicine is becoming "official"! 🎉 Our ribbon-cutting with the Vestavia Hills Chamber of Commerce is next Thursday followed by our open house at 5pm. We'll have light snacks and drinks (until gone 😉), and we'd love to visit and welcome new and old (and prospective) patients to our beautiful space!
We also have our second shipment of amazing Hayden Glenn Hall pieces in each of our exam rooms... getting close to the perfect family medicine "home"!

Unfortunately, our phone system at Cahaba Concierge Medicine has been malfunctioning since Monday. We were told it would be a 24 hr or less issue, but our latest timeline is "unknown" 😠. If you try to reach us and cannot get through (or someone answers and you cannot hear us), please just text that same number or send us a portal message. My apologies!!

Week number 2!
Our first week was so much fun…so many friends and patients coming by to visit, to have a cup of coffee, to schedule appointments ❤️🥰. We still have a few decorating tweaks ( hallway sconces, a few more pieces of art, drapery), but it’s the CCM home we dreamed it would be! Come by and see us! (Our sign is still pending…grumble, grumble.. but we’re on the corner of Cahaba Station right beside Magic City Eyecare—and go by and meet Dr. Kacey Capps Cilimberg as well…she and her staff rock!!)

Move in day!! (Rain is considered good luck, right?) There are still touch-ups and fixtures to be added, but by 2:30 we were starting to unpack and find homes for all of supplies and goodies. Much appreciation for everyone’s patience while we’ve been out of pocket today (and I ask for just a few more days…opening day is Monday!!)

We may be a few weeks behind schedule, but we’re making progress! Floors are in (and beautiful!), and next week we’re expecting cabinets, paint, and hopefully light fixtures. I am so ready to be in our new space, but I know it will be worth our work and waiting. The support and flexibility from our precious patients has been amazing. We’re getting close!!
And for those who have made house visits, Delta says hello and thanks for ear rubs 🥰

We have our electronic medical record system! Yay! Julie and I celebrated at Bottega with a bellini and mimosa (and then remembered that the actual patient data process would take several more weeks..boo!) So we need your patient data! If you haven't sent your record release form, please do. If you haven't started your membership, now is the time😉.

Our building has framing and electrical is going in today. Almost all of our furniture has been chosen, and paint colors are the next hurdle. The windows of the space are perfect!

Lastly, Delta got his first big boy haircut this week... he's getting so big!
