My take on a "Pottery Barn Style" finish. This maple, 6 drawer dresser is now available inside Barrett Street Antique Center .

Recycle and reuse. I had an old wood ironing board and asked my husband to make me a blanket crane from it. He loves a challenge so, he took the legs off and presto, he made one. Wow! Unbelievable! I then asked if he could cut out the rest of the board, a bread board, and I wanted it large. He did that ad well. I love it but, I should have measured first, it's just a little too long for where I wanted it. I could cut it down, but it's already sanded and stained and sealed. I might find another spot, or, it may go to the shop. We'll see. By the way, he still has parts left, so let's see what he can do with those. 🤔😉

Dearest Gentle Reader, while attending the wedding of Penelope and Colin this season, this author may or may not have been influenced by the grand decor in the homes of the ton. Anybody know what I'm talking about here? 😂😂 🎩 Anyway, I'm all done but it was just toooooooo hot to take this to the shop today.

When I saw this, I knew I had to leave the center of the drawers alone. I painted the piece and chose the color around that wood. I touched any minor scraps or scuffs up as best as I could to keep the center in tact. A few finishing touches and then we'll be all done.

We have had the busiest weekend. We celebrated my birthday today, since I thought it would be a good idea to have a yardsale this weekend it took me all week to get ready for that. So birthday plans got pushed off so I could get 2 pieces ready for the shop on Friday. I then prepared to drag all of our random items out to the yard for sale. Then what didn't sell, bring back. You know the deal. My dear husband baked me this yummy gluten free cake today and he and one of my sons took me to lunch. We played games, laughed and just relaxed. Back to work on Monday. I'm still adding a few finishing touches, but I'm hoping to have this one done soon.

It's Wednesday so it must mean a room reset. I created a gallery wall and several different vignettes. Stop by and see our newest addition to the space. I still have a few sales tags up so there is still time to grab those deals. Message me or comment below for more information.

We dodged the raindrops this afternoon to deliver both of these pieces to the shop. The sweet little dry sink cabinet is in space 2 and the gray desk is in space 1. Come by Monday to see them both.

A couple of sweet treasures I picked up recently. Vintage decor is so popular with styles like Cottage Core, Grand Millennial, and Dark Academia right now. Social media is filled with it, and I love it. I hope you do as well, because we have tons of gorgeous vintage decor in both of our spaces.
