Stone Corral’s Choices After School Program would like to invite their students to the SPRING BREAK CAMP. It is a 3 day event with fun learning activities. If you are interested please come to school on Monday March 25 at 8:00am. If you have any questions, call our front office and we can answer your questions.

Our Seville parents and students visited Cal State Fresno for the 8th Annual Feria de Educación.

Yesterday our mighty eagles were invited to Woodlake’s college/career fair and our students enjoyed learning about different campuses and careers.

As a result of the storms that impacted California’s communities from December 2022 through April 2023, the UFW Foundation was selected by the California Department of Social Services (CDSS) to provide direct assistance to immigrant families in the Kern, Tulare and Ventura Counties who were affected by the storms and who are unable to access federal assistance. Qualifying adults will receive a $1,500 and children (under 18-years-old) will receive $500, with a maximum of $4,500 per household. The funds are to help storm impacted individuals and households cover certain necessary costs including housing, food, and transportation costs.

You must call and make an appointment in order to be seen.

Como resultado de las tormentas que impactaron a las comunidades de California desde diciembre de 2022 hasta abril de 2023, la Fundación UFW fue seleccionada por el Departamento de Servicios Sociales de California (CDSS) para brindar asistencia directa a las familias inmigrantes en los condados de Kern, Tulare y Ventura que fueron afectadas por las tormentas y que no pueden acceder a la asistencia federal. Los adultos que califiquen recibirán $1,500 y los niños (menores de 18 años) recibirán $500, con un máximo de $4,500 por hogar. This week, our teachers, support staff, and district superintendent participated in a Summer Arts Institute training as part of the QUAIL (Quality Arts Instruction and Learning) Program. The primary goal of QUAIL is to improve student artistic literacy and academic performance by supporting educators in designing and implementing high-quality, standards-based instruction in the five arts disciplines (dance 🩰, media arts 🎬, music 🎼, theatre 🎭, and visual arts 🎨).

Esta semana, nuestros maestros, el personal de apoyo y el superintendente del distrito participaron en una capacitación del Instituto de Artes de Verano como parte del Programa QUAIL (Instrucción y aprendizaje de las artes de calidad). El objetivo principal de QUAIL es mejorar la alfabetización artística y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes apoyando a los educadores en el diseño e implementación de instrucción de alta calidad basada en estándares en las cinco disciplinas artísticas (danza 🩰, artes mediáticas 🎬, música 🎼, teatro 🎭 y artes visuales 🎨).

Buenos días, el Banco de Alimentos de California Central estará distribuyendo alimentos en la Primaria Stone Corral hoy de 1:30 p.m. a 4:30 p. m. ¡Todos son bienvenidos!

Stone Corral Elementary will be offering in person summer school from June 5 to June 30. Summer school hours will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday-Friday for 4 weeks. All students are welcome to attend. The teachers are planning a fun-filled month of academics with a focus on Reading, ELA/ELD, Math, History/Social Studies, STEM, Art, and SEL. Registration forms are available in the school office.

La escuela primaria Stone Corral ofrecerá escuela de verano en persona del 5 al 30 de junio. El horario de la escuela de verano será de 8:30 a.m. a 12:30 p.m. de lunes a viernes durante 4 semanas. Todos los estudiantes que deseen asistir, serán bienvenidos. Los maestros están planeando un mes académico lleno de diversión con un enfoque en Lectura, ELA/ELD, Matemáticas, Historia/Estudios Sociales, STEM, Arte y SEL. Formularios de inscripción están disponibles en la oficina de la escuela.

In March, our eagles participate in the annual Read Across America Week. This year we challenge our students to read for a whole month to participate in the slime activity on April 14th. We had the great opportunity to invite guest readers to visit Stone Corral to read their favorite book to our lower grade classrooms.

We would like to give a big thank you to the Ranger Paul, Mrs. Roberts our Board President, Mrs. Hernandez our Mental Wellness Social Worker and Mr. Villarreal Woodlake Family Resource Director for their support and encouraging our students to find passion in reading.

En marzo, nuestras águilas participan en la semana anual Read Across America. Este año desafiamos a nuestros estudiantes a leer durante todo un mes para participar en la actividad de slime el 14 de abril. Tuvimos la gran oportunidad de invitar a los lectores a visitar Stone Corral para leer su libro favorito en nuestras aulas de grado inferior.

Nos gustaría dar un gran agradecimiento a la Ranger Paul, la Sra. Roberts nuestra Presidenta de la Junta, la Sra. Hernández nuestra Trabajadora Social de Bienestar Mental y el Sr. Villarreal Woodlake Director de Recursos Familiares por su apoyo y alentar a nuestros estudiantes a encontrar la pasión en la lectura.

Good afternoon parents and guardians of Stone Corral students. Classes have been suspended for Monday, February 27th. Our school unfortunately suffered flooding during this past Fridays rainstorm. Classes are expected to resume on Tuesday, February 28th. Thank you for your understanding. Go Eagles!
