Members of the campus community gathered on Tuesday afternoon to clean up the grounds ahead of the fall semester starting next week. Attendees were treated to water and popsicles afterwards. Thanks to everyone who put effort in today!

The Plumbing and Pipe Fitting team of instructors enjoyed a fantastic day on the water for a team-building fishing trip! They caught plenty of fish and shared some great stories from the last semester. It’s a win-win when you can reel in some keepers and laugh with colleagues who are just as skilled outside the classroom as they are in it. We all feel lucky to work with such an amazing group! 🐟

The Auto Collision and Management Technology program at TSTC’s Waco campus held its traditional end-of-semester lunch and lab cleaning day for students on Thursday, Aug. 15, at the Transportation Technology Center. Students, faculty members, and special guests dined on brisket, sausage, potato salad, slaw, and baked beans from Slovacek’s in West.

The Building Officials Association of Texas (BOAT) hosted a group of students from Texas State Technical College’s campus for a session on at the organization’s annual conference on Thursday, Aug. 8, in Fort Worth.

Students in TSTC's aviation maintenance programs learned what it takes to be hired from industry professionals during an employer panel hosted by the college's Career Services department. Representatives from Brazos Valley Flight Services in College Station, JAG Aviation in McGregor, and Texas Instruments participated in the event.

Construction continues on a workforce training facility in south that is a partnership between Texas State Technical College, the city of Waco, and McLennan County. The WorkSITE (Skills, Innovation, Training and Education) is a $17 million, 34,047-square-foot building on Wycon Drive that is scheduled to open in spring 2025.
