Honowai Elementary
Honowai Elementary is an elementary school that services grades Pre-6 in Waipahu, HI He implemented the Honowai's Science Technology Center.
Honowai Elementary School was first called Waipahu Elementary II when it opened its doors in the year of 1967. Honowai was housed on the Waipahu Elementary campus from 1967-1968 and moved over to their current site the following year. When the first principal of Honowai, Walter Tanaka, planned the school, he organized teachers in two or three classrooms to team teach. He also had a vision to creat
