👉Homeowner Advice Nugget: Invest in a water leak/freeze detector.

Be the first to know about a plumbing emergency in your home, even when you're not around. I bought a leak/freeze detector by Kidde and put it by my water heater. Today my phone starting alarming, and it was a notification from the Kidde app saying water/a leak had been detected. My husband checked it, and there was no actual leak in this case, just some pooled moisture from all of the rain we're having - but if it had been a real emergency, the Kidde app allows an emergency contact to be input.
