Join us this Sunday, January 15th at 11:00 AM for a concert with the Powell Family. The family are residents of Raleigh, NC and have been singing together since 2014. Tony has been a part of several music groups including the New South River Boys, the Royal Descendants and Bill and Gloria Gather. His wife Joy has been singing her entire life. Their daughter Mollie sings soprano and was a featured singer with the Royal Descendants since she was six years old. She made her first studio recording at the age of seven.

Our Golden Circle of Ladies will be meeting this Thursday at 10:00 AM in the fellowship hall. We are having a meeting, potluck lunch and having a game day following lunch. Ladies of all ages welcome.

Thank you to everyone who came today to our BBQ Chicken Plate Fundraiser. We sold 256 plates in one hour. Folks came from Youngsville, Wake Forest and other surrounding areas.

A big shout out to the family and friends of Dale Marshall Moore who honored her memory with this fundraiser. They provided the food, baked a lot of items for a bake sale and all the help during the fundraiser. Dale, a longtime hairdresser in Wake Forest and a member of Glen Royal Baptist Church. She was also a charter member of the Golden Circle of Ladies since its inception in 2010.

Thank you Van Moore, Leslie Moore and all Dale’s family and friends who made this fundraiser a huge success.

This Saturday, March 26th at 11:00am, the Golden Circle of Ladies will be holding a BBQ Chicken Plate Fundraiser. The plate will have 1/2 chicken, boiled potatoes, green beans, bread and dessert for $10.00. The church is located at 731 Elizabeth Avenue in Wake Forest.

Van Moore and his crew are cooking in honor and memory of his mother, Dale Marshall Moore, a long-time hairdresser in Wake Forest. Dale was a charter member of the Golden Circle of Ladies since its inception in 2010.

Come and support our fundraiser that is for our quarterly Missions projects in our community and surrounding areas.

This Sunday, January 9th, is Ladies Day at Glen Royal Baptist Church. The women will be leading the service. Please join us at 11:00am. Our service will focus on Missions, Globally and Locally.

Upcoming October and November Events:
Men's Ministry Fish Fry at the Hedlund's home at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 9th. If you would like to attend, call the church at 919-556-5463 and leave your name and phone number. We will call you back with details. You can also sign up on the sheet on the bulletin board at church.

Thursday, October 14th at 10am we will be holding our Golden Circle meeting. Annette Tingen will be holding a class on flower arranging. This is open to women of all ages. If you would like to attend, sign up at church or call the church at 919-556-5463 and leave a message that you will be attending. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided.

Friday evening, October 15th we will be holding a supper and free concert with Four on the Rock. This group is known for their beautiful Southern Gospel Music. Supper will be soup and salad at 5:15pm. A love offering will be taken for Four on the Rock.

You do not need to be a member to attend any one of these events. If you have questions, call the church and leave a message. We will call you back.

Glen Royal Baptist Church Upcoming Events

Rudy Theatre Christmas Jubilee: For those who expressed an interest in going, the ticket price is $28.50. Ticket sales are on sale now. The first showing is at 12:45pm. As these tickets go quickly, if you are interested in going, please sign the list on the bulletin board by Sunday, September 26th and pay for the tickets by that date. Charlotte will drive the bus if we have at least 7 people riding the bus. Otherwise, carpooling will be necessary.

Ladies Saturday Lunch: Our Saturday lunch will be September 25th at Shomars restaurant located at 1009 Stadium Drive in Wake Forest. If you want to carpool, be at church by 11:15am. Lunch is at 11:30am. Due to limited parking with all the food outlets in that area, the bus will not be driven to this event.

Men’s Ministry Fish Fry: The October lunch will be a fish fry at Hedlund’s house on Saturday, October 9th. Please sign up for the fish fry on the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board.

Golden Circle October Meeting: Join our Golden Circle group, and bring a friend(s) to learn how our in-house florist, Annette Tingen makes her beautiful arrangements – October 14, 2021 at 10 AM in the Joyce David Fellowship Hall. Bring a bag lunch. Drinks and dessert will be provided. Be sure to sign all names of those attending on the sign-up sheet in back hallway. Fun and fellowship!

Save the Date: On Friday, October 15th, we will be holding a Soup and Salad dinner and concert at the church. Our gospel group is Four on the Rock and their music is Southern Gospel. This will be a great evening of fellowship and great music. Invite friends and let’s fill our sanctuary with folks.

Join us this Wednesday, August 4th at 7:00pm in our sanctuary for a special prayer service. We will be praying for our nation and our leaders. 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people who are called by my name humble themselves and pray, and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."

There have been many times in history when God's people have stopped to pray for this great nation and her people. We are at a crossroad in the country and need to pray individually and collectively as the body of Christ.

Sunday, July 18th, Pastor Alan Skinner will be preaching from Mark 6:1-6. His message is entitled “Astonished.” The service starts at 11:00am.

Wednesday night Bible study is at 7:00pm. Pastor Alan is teaching on the 7 letters to the 7 churches from the book of Revelations.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Independence Day at 11:00 am in the sanctuary.

Pastor Allan sermon is titled "America, Going Under or Gone Under?"

The Men's Ministry of the church is holding a men's luncheon on Saturday, July 10th at 11:00am at Culver's in Wake Forest on Rogers Rd. The lunch is for men of all ages.

You don't need to be a member of the church to attend. If you are a member but not attending on a regular basis, join us for lunch.

We have started a youth ministry led by Thomas Coats. Youth in 6th - 12th grade are invited to come and see what we are doing and have planned for the next few months. The youth are meeting every Wednesday night from 7:00 - 7:45pm in the Fellowship Hall.

This Sunday, June 6th, we are having a special Baptism service. Join us for this service supporting our ladies who are getting baptized.

Join us this Sunday as we celebrate Mother’s Day. If your mother or grandmother attends our church, surprise them and join them at church. This will mean more to them than any gift.

Our service is at 11:00am and Pastor Alan will be sharing from Exodus about an unusual mother and her unusual son.

The Golden Circle of Ladies at Glen Royal Baptist Church, 731 Elizabeth Ave., Wake Forest, NC is open to church members and all women of the community.

On Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11am in the church Fellowship Hall, we will have a makeup demonstration on a live model, along with ideas of how to accessorize outfits. Bring you bag lunch, and drinks will be provided. If you can join us, please leave your name by calling the church phone at 919-556-5463 and leave a message so we will know who many to prepare for. Men’s Brunch at 11:00am at Borders in Wake Forest on Friday May 14th. This will be a time of fellowship. If you are new to our community and looking for new friends, join the men for brunch. Our Easter Sunday service will be at 10:00 am. This is a one time change in our service time.

After each church service, the building is sanitized and we practice COVID safety instructions to ensure all attendees are protected.
