Live Pain Free, Healthy, and Happy

I grew up playing sports. I played every sport you could imagine. When I wasn't playing sports, I was with my friends playing sports in the street. I was blessed enough to be recruited and play football in college. While I was there, I was introduced to what it meant to be physically ready by my strength coach. I learned that just playing wasn't enough and that you could use specific methods to prepare yourself for your game.

After college, I moved to California. I was inspired enough to pursue a career as a personal trainer. I was fascinated by the human body. I continued playing adult league sports, and joined a softball team with some coworkers. One day during practice, I felt my back begin to tighten up a little. As I stood there, contemplating stretching, the ball was hit my way. I turned to run after it and stepped in a little hole in the ground. I felt a pop in my low back and immediately fell to the ground. I laid there, knowing I had just hurt my self badly, but hoped that the pain would just go away. I was in great shape and I couldn’t possibly be hurt that badly, right? Wrong. I was in so much pain, that I couldn't get up under my own power. My back was in a severe spasm. I made it home, thanks to a friend and I spent that night in agonizing pain.

My road to recovery began the next day, but it would be a long road. I saw doctors, chiropractors, massage therapists and anyone else that I thought could help. After spending a bunch of money that I didn't have to feel better, I still felt pain and began to wonder if it would ever end. I was in my mid twenties and felt like I was in my nineties. Thats when I decided that I needed to learn about the back, the pain, and what I could do about it. I began instituting the things I learned and eventually got my self back to complete health. Today, Its as if I was never injured. I am now in my late thirties and feel like I live everyday in my early twenties.

Since then, I have tirelessly researched and educated myself on pain and pain management. I encounter so many people that desire to get in shape but feel like they can't get past the pain enough to live a healthy life. I have learned that the human body is more amazing than I could have ever imagined. If you do the right things, the body will find a way to heal itself. I have trained countless people through pain to health and wellness. It is my life mission to help people get back to using their bodies without pain and help them to get back to complete health.
