Healing is a journey similar to a rollercoaster ride, with its highs and lows.
Throughout the healing journey, it’s important to welcome intense emotions with compassion. Consider emotional experiences as opportunities for growth and inner peace. It’s normal for past challenges to resurface and affect us – and that’s okay. Stay present, recognize your healing progress, and cherish the blessings you have in the present.
Just a friendly reminder: Attending therapy doesn’t necessarily indicate that something is wrong.
During a recent consultation, an individual expressed a desire to proactively maintain their mental health despite not currently facing any specific challenges. I commended the individual for emphasizing the value of mental health maintenance.
Therapy can be a valuable tool for personal growth, self-discovery, and maintaining overall mental well-being. It’s perfectly okay to seek therapy as a proactive and positive step towards self-improvement and self-care.
EMDR, short for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma and other distressful life experiences. This therapy method incorporates understanding how memories are stored and how they influence an individual’s mental and emotional well-being. By addressing the role of memory in shaping an individual’s response to stress and trauma, EMDR seeks to enhance resilience and reduce the impact of symptoms and psychological pathology.

Mindful Monday…
For some the weekend may have been packed with events. Right now is the oppurtunity to take a minute for yourself.
Although many people may feel uncomfortable discussing this topic, it is important to acknowledge that menopause is a natural and inevitable process that affects women in various ways. Not only does it cause physical changes, but it can also impact family dynamics and relationships. With 1.2 billion women affected by menopause, it is crucial to educate ourselves on this topic in order to support the women in our lives who may be going through it. By doing so, we can also increase our awareness of the lack of support that women often receive in the medical and mental health field during this time.
Fitness Fridays with the fabulous She puts up with my crabiness and complaining through all the crazy s**t she makes me do. I always leave feeling great and stronger than when I came in! Thanks for helping me get to my goal of being able to hike till I’m 100.
Remember that progress is more important than perfection. It’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them along the way. Don’t let the pursuit of perfection hold you back.
Focus on growing and developing through progress, failures, and successes.
Keep moving forward, keep learning, and keep growing. Remember that progress is a beautiful process that leads to personal and professional fulfillment 💕
Do it for yourself, because you deserve to prioritize your well-being and happiness. Take the time to pursue your passions, nurture your interests, and invest in your personal growth. Remember that self-care is not selfish; it is essential for maintaining a healthy mind, body, and spirit. By prioritizing yourself, you are better able to show up for others and make a positive impact in the world. So, go ahead and do it for yourself - you are worth it.
Trust in yourself. Most people have great advice, but it’s advice. You know yourself best, take a chance and trust in you.

Spent most of the weekend figuring out kid sports and activities. Figuring out scheduling around work, pick up and drop off, and hoping friends will join. Anyone in the same boat?

Over one-fifth of women in the United States have encountered a mental health condition in the last year, including but not limited to depression and anxiety. Mental health disorders can manifest differently in men and women. Although afflictions such as depression, anxiety, and eating disorders are more common in women, some conditions exclusively impact women. Perinatal depression, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and perimenopause-related depression are examples of disorders that induce depressive symptoms in women during hormonal fluctuations such as pregnancy, menstrual cycles, and menopause.
Wednesday’s are the toughest for me. No positive note or motivation. Just sharing my feelings about Wednesdays.
In my recent interactions with clients, we've discussed their current relationships and what constitutes a meaningful connection. What qualities do you value most in a relationship, and what are you seeking to enhance in your life? Personally, I've decided to prioritize ease in my life this year, seeking to cultivate relationships that align with this principle. What do you want from relationships in your life?
Looking back, what did your 2023 self gift you for the year 2024? As we move forward, it's important to pause and acknowledge the progress we've made, and give ourselves the accolades we deserve. Have you taken a moment to express gratitude to your past self for the guidance provided?

During the holidays, our hearts often remember those who are no longer with us. Though we may miss their physical presence, their memories live within us, lighting our days with their love and warmth. In this season of joy, we want to take a moment to honor them, to remember their laughter, their words, and their spirit. They are missed but never forgotten. To all our loved ones who cannot be with us this holiday season, we keep you close to our hearts, forever part of our celebrations. ❤

How many of you find that making assumptions about something or someone get you in trouble?
Mid-week mental health check-in. I know when I need a mental health break when Im giving energy to things I actually don’t have energy for. I start feeling resentful and self critical. What’s your mental capacity and load?
Recently Pamela Anderson attended an event without any makeup and embraced her natural self. What she said resonated with me about how we use the words, “aging”, as if aging was a negative term. I love using “life-ing”. For me, I want to measure my quality of life on my experiences. So moving forward I’m, “life-ing”.
