Thank you to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District! Nearly a dozen firefighters put out a brush fire in the Sugarloaf Open Space today. Several acres burned, but we're happy to report no one was hurt. At this time, there's no information on a cause. Access to Sugarloaf will remain closed throughout the afternoon.
