Today we cut a ribbon to celebrate Miller Martial Arts and Fitness 7th anniversary and the grand opening of their new location! They offer comprehensive coaching and real-world self-defense skills and training in Jiu Jitsu, Boxing, self-defense, fitness, kids program, Muay Thai, and private lessons.

Yesterday, we celebrated a dream 10 years in the making! Saving Lives with Medicine is a partnership between Rotary International District 6920 Clubs, MAP International, and partnering clinics to provide free life-saving medications to indigent populations in District 6920. Led locally by the Perry Rotary Club and Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic (Houston Healthcare) with the support of the Warner Robins Rotary Club & Rotary Club of Centerville, GA, Trinity School of Medicine, and dedicated medical professionals, qualified individuals can now access life-saving medications for heart, lung disease, and diabetes. Marietta Lomboy, President of Perry Rotary, led a heartwarming event to honor the hard work and shared vision that made this possible.

Tradition rang strong as we celebrated our 13th annual Robins Cup and Pairing Social last week! This year’s event was a tremendous success, deepening relationships between community and base leaders. Events like these are crucial for building collaborative partnerships within our community.

Earlier this week, our Leadership Robins class got a front-row seat to witness how those in law enforcement serve and protect citizens. Thanks to the ongoing support of Houston County Government, our class was able to tour the jail and E-911 that morning along with hands-on demonstrations from the SRT team. In the afternoon, we were treated to a program and tour at the Houston County College & Career Academy for a closer look at workforce and economic development.

We had a fantastic crowd come out for this morning's Legislative Eggs & Issues breakfast. Our Houston County delegation shared their insights into some of the successes of this year's session under the Gold Dome as well as ongoing priorities supporting education & workforce development, infrastructure & competitiveness, occupational licensure & legal reform and much more. We are incredibly thankful for their leadership and their eagerness to share with us as well as hear our concerns and perspective on issues.

Our next big event is right around the corner, and it is truly a "don't miss" program for businesses of every size and sector. We are excited to welcome back Michael Chriszt and Dr. Greg George for some mid-year economic insights. They will be joined in a panel discussion by Georgia Chamber Governmental Affairs professional, Cosby Johnson and Labor Law & HR Litigation expert, Jonathan Martin.
