A few members from our club represented at the 7th Annual Halloween Bash as Inside Out characters. Presented by Pritchard, Bieler, Gruver & Willison, P.C., this event provides individuals with special needs the opportunity to trick-or-treat in a fun and safe environment. 100% of the profits from this event will be donated to the Indian Creek Foundation. It was a great event and great turnout!
We had a busy meeting this week! We recognized Kaylee Conner and Kelly Hemsley from the Operation Eternal Gratitude club of CB South high school and Officer Kozuch got us really excited for the Annual Shop with A Cop event hosted by the Warrington Police Department.
We had a great visit last week with our Australian Rotarians! It was an amazing experience for all that were involved!

Thanks to Duane Hershberger from Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties, PA for sharing a little more about Habitat for Humanity and their mission of providing safe and secure affordable homes with affordable mortgages to income-qualified families. After his visit with us, he was heading to Romania to support another build!

On Thursday 8/15/24 from 12-9pm, members of the Warrington Rotary Club will be “celebrity scoopers” at the Rita’s Water Ice in Warrington (corner of 611 & Bristol - Warrington Shopping Center). Come on out; bring all your friends & family, and get some water ice or custard, all while supporting our club! 20% of all sales will be donated to the club, which will help us to continue to serve our community that we love so much!
Wednesday morning’s meeting was a joint meeting with Warminster Rotary Club.
Our speaker was Hannah Christie. Hannah works at Camp Abilities PA, an educational sports camp held at West Chester University for youth ages 7-17, who are blind or have low vision. The camp’s purpose is to empower the children to be physically active, improve their overall health & wellness, encourage them to make smart food choices, and develop their confidence & self-esteem through sports.

This morning’s meeting was a special one. It was our President change-over meeting. Lou Altomari passed the gavel over to our new President, Stacy Wertman.
Thank you Lou for your dedication to the club as President for the last 3 years. You are one of a kind. We’re looking forward to having Stacy lead the club and continuing our mission!
This morning’s meeting was a great one! We presented CB South’s OEG group with a donation check for $500 to continue to support the troops overseas.
Our speaker this morning was Josh Fields, CEO & Co-Founder of The Next Step in Doylestown.
Here is an excerpt from their mission statement: “Established in 2015, The Next Step Program is all about paving the way for young adults with disabilities as they step out of high school. Our core belief is simple yet powerful: individuals with disabilities deserve every chance to immerse themselves in all aspects of life. This includes opportunities for higher education, independent living, building social networks, and playing an active role in their communities”. We applaud Josh for all of the amazing work that he is doing!
Yesterday morning was our Warrington Rotary Foundation scholarship award breakfast. It was our pleasure to welcome these young women & men and their families. We are proud to say that this year we awarded 7 total scholarships of $3,000 for each student. We want to wish each and every one of our award winners the best of luck in their future!
Our club has volunteered with two local service projects in the past week. The first project some of our Rotarians participated in was doing clean up at the Mary Barness Swim Club in Warrington.
The second project was a food packing event for Feed My Starving Children at DelVal College, where some of our Rotarians helped pack shelf-stable food packs for underprivileged countries.
There’s still time to sign up to play in our annual co****le tournament this Saturday 4/20/24! As of right now, the weather is looking good, so come on out! We look forward to seeing you there!

Our speaker this morning was Steve Saffier. He spoke to us about birds and the native plants that we can have in our yards to help draw in the bird population.

This morning we welcomed Jake Lacey & Aiden Elvidge of The Locals Detailing to speak to our club. They both are local to Warrington and graduated from CB South High School. They talked to us about how they came up with the idea for their business, and how they have adapted & grown their business over the last year.

It is being held at Giuseppe’s in Warminster from 8 to 11:30AM. We have plenty of baskets to raffle off, so bring cash for raffle tickets.
All proceeds will benefit our I Like Me reading program that provides a personalized book to every kindergarten student in the local Warrington elementary schools. We look forward to seeing you this weekend!

We were pleased to welcome Elizabeth Tolis to speak to our club this morning. Elizabeth is the local mother of 14 year old Emmett, who happens to be disabled with profound autism and intellectual disability.
She talked to us about the history of profound disability in our country and state, as well as, the isolation families experience in our schools, community, and places of worship. Elizabeth also shared ways that we can all be better friends, neighbors, and welcoming business and community members to our profoundly disabled population. We welcome everyone to follow Emmett’s Journey on social media.

This morning, we were pleased to have Judge Steven Corr as our speaker. He was elected in 2021 to the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas. Judge Corr is an accomplished attorney and represented families of Bucks County victims of the 9/11 terror attacks. Warrington Rotary thanks Judge Corr for his service to our community.

This morning, Warrington Rotary welcomed State Senator Frank Farry as our speaker. The Senator gave us an in depth overview of his almost 2 decades of service in our community, and current legislation in the House. We thank Senator Farry for his service!

This morning, our speaker was David Failko. He is a Prevention Specialist for the Council of Southern PA. He spoke to us about the new danger for young people that is va**ng.
