Child marriage isn’t about high school sweethearts beginning their happily-ever-after lives. Instead, these laws deliberately allow parents and guardians to force young girls into marriages with much older adult men.

Most Americans are unaware of the child marriage crisis in their own backyard. Be a part of the solution and learn about this legacy of abuse at StudentsAgainst.org/what-is-child-marriage

Educating yourself is only the first step to creating change. Spread the word, get involved, and take action at StudentsAgainst.org/act now to save lives!

Resources for Survivors | STUDENTS AGAINST CHILD MARRIAGE

Donna was 16 when she became trapped in an abusive child marriage. Her husband was 31.

Providing resources for survivors is essential to the Students Against Child Marriage mission. We want to ensure that no girl goes through the same traumatic experiences that Donna faced.

But as students, we recognize that we may not be the most equipped to offer the social and legal support that those at risk of, trapped within, or recovering from a child marriage so desperately need.

That’s why we’ve partnered with Donna and the experts at Survivors' Corner to provide some of the best direct support and intervention services in the nation. Check out our resources at StudentsAgainst.org/resources and get involved with the upcoming events at Survivors’ Corner at SurvivorsCorner.org!

It’s not a marriage. It’s an adult legally abusing a child.

The trauma recovery process for the women forced into these marriages is both incredibly difficult and lifelong.

Take action now: Signup for our Action List and sign the petition in .sf ‘s bio on Instagram to end child marriage in California!
