Octomore single malt has defied perceived whisky wisdom since its launch in 2008. Matured for five years, always super-heavily peated and bottled close to cask strength, Octomore’s surprising elegance has led us to define it as The Impossible Equation. An experiment which pushes the boundaries of whisky making, the series explores the influence of terroir, cask management and varying peat levels on the final flavour – with each single malt having its own distinct and unique character.

Our variation features a burst of bee pollen granules, house-made saffron, honey and orange liqueur and of course Tom Cat Gin to really explore the rich and floral nature of autumn.

Join us for an educational seminar and tasting hosted by Bruichladdich brand ambassador, Jason Cousins.

Jason will walk you through the history of (old world) Scotch & (new world) American Single Malts highlighting 3 pours from Bruichladdich (representing the Scotch side) and 3 pours from Westland Whiskey (representing the American Single Malt side). There will also be the chance to purchase bottles at the end!

For International Women’s Day we celebrate our Front of House Manager, Wallis Neff.

Wallis has been in the bar and restaurant industry in DC for 10 years and has been with us proudly at The Fountain Inn for 1 year.

“For Women’s Day I thought it would be appropriate to highlight one of my favorite bottles of our collection: Penderyn Ex-Moscatel. I love the delicate notes and it’s an exceptional sipping whisky. One important thing about Penderyn is that it is a fully Woman-Lead team of Master Distillers and Blenders. Women in whisk(e)y shape so much of what we know- it’s important to share these facts with everyone.”

When it’s not Welsh whisky, she’ll often go for an Obscenely Dirty Gin Martini or an American Rye. Neat, of course.
