The work that Write Away does would not be possible without our incredible staff and volunteers. Today, we would like to take the time to acknowledge volunteer Evan Chartock (he/they) for their incredible work with Write Away thus far! Evan is a junior at Ursinus College in Collegeville, Pennsylvania.

Last October, Evan was looking for a virtual community service opportunity that matched their love of writing, and Write Away was the perfect fit. Evan has since taken on a large role in creating social media posts, as well as restructuring the Write Away Mentorship Curriculum for a classroom setting. They are incredibly thankful to work for a nonprofit with such a clear and important mission in todayโ€™s digital age.

At Ursinus, Evan is a double major in Media and Communication Studies & Theater, with a minor in Legal Studies. They work as a Writing Fellow in the Center for Writing and Speaking, and as a Production Technical Assistant in the Kaleidoscope Scene Shop. Evan is a co-President of UC Hillel, the Vice President of Breakaway Student Productions, and the Treasurer and New Member Educator for the Alpha Delta Phi Society - Ursinian Affiliate.
