Introducing Federally Employed Women Veterans Affairs Monumental Women Chapter Secretary, Rani Brown 🇺🇲 Rani is so awesome, words cannot explain. So blessed to have such an amazing network of professionals leading the chapter.

Rani Brown is the Assistant Chief of the Pulmonary Pathophysiology Lab located at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. She has been with the VA for over 13 years, originally employed at the Fayetteville NC VA Medical Center. She has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for more than 18 years. In May of 2021, Rani completed her Master of Science, Healthcare Administration degree from Liberty University and in March of 2022, she completed her Yellow Belt course. In July 2022, she was sworn in as the secretary of the Federally Employed Women VA Monumental Women Chapter. “When I climb, it is not to step over or look down on others, but to reach back and pull up the next person."

I will do a post soon with final totals for donations from FEW VA Monumental Chapter 🇺🇲❤🇺🇲 🥰 Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC) glad FEW VA Monumental Women could support.🇺🇲❤🇺🇲

Keshia Ross, Junior League of Northern Virginia, led a highly successful and much-needed drive collecting 9,117 items of women’s hygiene products including pads and tampons, and natural deodorant, some pictured here before delivery to LCAC. Ms. Ross and approximately 300 Junior League members were joined in the drive by Ms. Chanda Plair and her "Federally Employed Women Veterans Affairs Monumental Women Chapter", family and friends. The items were delivered to us this week and we'll be getting them out to women at our distributions starting today.

Thanks so much Tresia Odle for presenting during Federally Employed Women Veterans Affairs Monumental Women Chapter Lunch and Learn on today. Tresia is a HRO Champion and Systems Redesign & Improvement Coordinator for VA Northern Indiana Healthcare System. Her presentation "High Reliability (VHA Lean Methodology) For Process Improvement" was very informative and well received by members of FEW and VA colleagues who dialed in from all over the country. Also, special thanks to William Vargas and members of VA Hispanic Association for also attending. It has been an extremely yet fulfilling week as Federally Employed Women nationwide had Chapter celebrations and presentations for Women's Equality Day. Federally Employed Women Veterans Affairs Monumental Women Chapter also had our monthly chapter meeting on today. I must say the Chapter Officers and Committee Chairs are amazing! I could not do it without them. So excited to hear all the wonderful training initiatives Vice President Ibtesam Muhammad is planning for the chapter. Kuiana Williams Alexandria Davis Rani Brown Monica Willis, Janelle Massey, Chantal Dobbins, Zaria Dukes all rock. Also thanks to Ethel Sligh and Monisha Barnes Immediate Past President and Immediate Past Vice President who have assisted during the transition. It has been a collaborative effort with a few pain points but what in life doesn't have a few challenges (no pun intended)
