LHF International Women and Girls in Science Day Spotlight!
Allison Rhodes is an MD/MPH Candidate at Tufts University School of Medicine. Allison's qualitative public health research explores perceptions of HPV and the HPV vaccine among trans and gender-diverse young adults. Her medical education research explores knowledge of and perceived competency with sexual and gender minority (SGM) health topics among medical school students and faculty. She is particularly interested in mental health and resilience among SGM individuals, especially SGM older adults, and is applying to psychiatry residency.
Allison's why: It is so important for us to understand more about our community. I am proud to be a part of LHF and to fund studies on LGBTQ+ women and girls.
