Happy Black History Month! Every week, we will be highlighting a person or business making a splash in the food and beverage industry in D.C.

It has been over 70 years since the Wilson family first established in 1944. The Grill has survived everything from natural disasters, recessions, gentrification, and the change of many many government administrations. Current owner Imar Hutchins has done his best to preserve the history of The Grill and pay homage to its original founder Lacey C. Wilson. A place where people from different races, social standings, and religions could sit side by side and have a meal.

Florida Avenue Grill is currently open Friday, Saturday and Sunday for carry out and patio seating.
