Grad Szn! 👩🏽‍🎓🎓

————————————————

Celebrating our graduates is the end goal. What it takes to get here is pairing them with a mentor that will support them through sometimes both high school and college.

We are thrilled to say Nia and Anna were paired in 2020 during Nia’s senior year of high school through college graduation! These two made great efforts to connect digitally and in person until our world post pandemic normalized. We are so excited for your future and we want to thank your mentor .ashe for consistently supporting your goals and visions.

Our board was happy to help celebrate you both at our Grad Brunch!

We celebrated Nia and her graduation from Howard University. Nia started her mentoring experience with girls PREP in 2020. To start college during the pandemic is a very unique experience where many students weren’t able to socially connect in person. Although on campus and living in a dorm, she had to take all of her classes online.

Nia, majored in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Advertising. She graduated magna cm laude, excited to start her career in sports!
She was in three campus organizations throughout her time at Howard, she completed three internships as well. Most notably were her internship experiences at The National African American Insurance Association and Naris Communications.
We are thankful to Nia and her mentor Anna .ashe for allowing Girls PREP to provide leadership development and career planning to her make up bag of skills!

06/29/2024

Today we celebrate and wish her well on her next chapter in life. Post grad life can be exciting and it can create the ultimate catapult into adulthood where you establish a career and stability.

Nia you have been a pleasure to help and support and we are excited to celebrate you!
