Inscapers Greg and Mika working on the plans for Good Food Market with our intern for the day and future architect, Emerson!

This is dedicated to our collaboration with HIPS. HIPS promotes the health, rights, and dignity of individuals and communities impacted by sexual exchange and/ or drug use. They renovation of their office space by Inscape Publico has helped them to better serve their clients.

This exciting collaboration with Mi Casa and Inscape Publico is a net-zero housing prototype called eCasa. eCasa will provide affordable high-performance housing to low-income families in Washington, DC.

This is dedicated to our site visit to the brick fabricators in Varanasi, India! These beautiful handmade bricks are being used in the construction of The Varanasi Silk Weaving Facility, a collaboration with Inscape Publico, Nest and Varanasi Loom to Luxury. The brick patterns of the building facade emulate the woven patterns seen in the traditional handmade silk of Varanasi.

We are excited to share the progress of our collaboration with Nest and Varanasi Loom to Luxury. This future silk weaving facility will provide a safe, healthy and environmentally friendly space for local weavers to create.

Inscape attended the Grand Opening of Arlington Food Assistance Center (AFAC) last night. Senator Mark Warner and Executive Director of AFAC, Charles Meng, both gave heartfelt speeches about the wonderful contributions that AFAC has made to the surrounding community. With their newly designed space, AFAC will be able to reach more people than ever before.

Inscape Publico is excited to be starting a new design project with The Dance Institute of Washington, a wonderful organization whose mission is "for all and families have equal access to classical and diverse ; and that the African American experience is celebrated through high quality art works from both local and visiting artists, students and professionals alike."

Inscape Publico is working with Good Food Markets on designing a brand new 10,000 SF location. The new market will be on the ground floor of a residential development currently under construction in the Boston neighborhood of Roxbury.

This market will not only bring fresh produce, grocery, and grab & go options to the community, but the proposed design also includes a cafe, made-to-order and salad and hot food bar.

"How can knowledge of our senses help us create livable spaces in cities?"

This is just one of many intriguing questions asked by Jan Gehl and Gehl Architects in their film,"Life Between Buildings". The film explores why, in certain cases, life seems to have disappeared from cities. Inscape Studio is currently working with Stable studio, which will be dedicated to visual artists of different ages, backgrounds, , career trajectories, genders, sexuality and practices.

Inscape Publico is moving forward with the re-design of the Luther Place Memorial Church Parish Hall, a Collegiate Gothic building dating to the 1950's. Our updates include reorienting the flow of public space on the ground floor to create a more iconic, legible entrance that signals the Parish Hall's function as an anchor for community service activities. Each floor in the five-story structure has a public function, including multi-purpose spaces, offices for non-profits, and a hostel.

In 2017 Inscape Publico, joined the Good Food Markets team as architects for their new flagship store to be located east of the river in the Bellevue neighborhood of Washington, DC.

Inscape Studio, is currently working to re-configure Imagination Stage their lobby and gallery space to make it more open and to help them better convey their mission through !
