287th day of the full-scale war in Ukraine. For eight years and almost 10 months, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have defended our beautiful and freedom-loving state from russian aggression. Thousands of Ukrainians have already sacrificed their lives for the day when there will be no occupants on our land, and all our people will be free again. Boundless gratitude to all Ukrainian defenders for the bravery and heroism with which they defend our independence and territorial integrity, freedom and lives of our people today. Despite the rocket attacks, cold and darkness, we remain unbending in our struggle. Thereafter, Ukrainians want only one thing — victory! After centuries of kremlin terror and bloody crimes, the Ukrainian people finally deserve it. Each of us is a warrior!

Figures of the day:
● The UN has confirmed 6,702 civilian deaths, including 424 children, in Ukraine since the start of russia's full-scale invasion. Another 10,479 people were injured. The data is not complete due to the lack of information from the occupied territories and places of active hostilities.
● AFU General Staff: russians conducted 10 missiles and 33 air strikes, 75 attacks from multiple rocket launchers yesterday. The missile strikes damaged residential buildings and other civilian objects in Kramatorsk, Kryvyi Rih and Stepove village in the Zaporizhzhia region.
● After the massive russian attack on December 5 on the Ukrainian infrastructure, the energy system remains in deficit at 19% of the projected consumption - Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
● President Zelenskiy arrived at the frontline — Sloviansk, Donetsk region, and visited the Kharkiv region, where he presented awards to the military on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
● In another exchange, 60 Ukrainian servicemen returned from russian captivity, including Mariupol defenders and those held in the colony in Olenivka.
● russia has enough missiles for several more massive missile strikes on Ukraine, "and they will reach full zero," said Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's Main Intelligence Directorate.
● There is currently no need for an additional wave of mobilisation in Ukraine due to a large number of volunteers, — Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov.
