Today we celebrate Juneteenth, a day of freedom and reflection. On June 19, 1865, the last enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their emancipation, marking a pivotal moment in our nation's history.

Juneteenth is not just a commemoration of the past but a continual call to action for progress toward equity and justice.
