If you hop on Google today you’ll see a cool doodle for #端午節. Dragon Boat Festival happens on the fifth day of the fifth month in the Chinese calendar. We celebrate the day by watching (or participating) in dragon boat races and eating zhongzi
The zhongzi in the picture is from during our last Night Market! The tradition started when a poet died in a river and the locals used dragon boats to try to recover his body. Balls of sticky rice were thrown in the river so that the fish would eat that instead of his body 🥹
