Last week Latinas 4 Latinas (L4L) presented HACAN Strong Families, Strong Communities (Hispanics Against Child Abuse and Neglect) with a $5,000 donation. Thank you to all our supporters and participants in our last event in 2021, a virtual cooking class event sponsored by restaurant Cranes and Chef Pepe Moncayo.

L4L is supporting HISPANICS AGAINST CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT programs educating and strengthening Hispanic families in various ways to raise healthy relationships and respectful citizens in the DMV area.

Our friends at HACAN Strong Families, Strong Communities are having a toy drive On December 18 and also a vehicle donation.

🧸🎁TOY DRIVE: The children also need toys! If you would like to purchase and drop off a gift-wrapped toy while heading to the library tomorrow, we are seeking gifts and gift cards for any age ranging from 6 months to 18 years, girl or boy. We will also be having a toy drive the following Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 10:00AM - 12:00pm, also at Woodrow Wilson library, so there is yet another chance to do something nice for the children of HACAN!

🚗🚙VEHICLE DONATION- Another way to help is to donate your vehicle to HACAN before the end of the year. This donation will help HACAN continue our mission and is also a tax deduction for you. In Memoriam of Sra. Carmen Lancis Fernandez, founder of HACAN, who recently passed, Latinas 4 Latinas has donated $500 with great pleasure to her foundation Hispanics Against Child Abuse and Neglect (H.A.C.A.N.)

It was a true honor to know and be inspired by her. In this image of Sra. Carmen is surrounded by Latinas 4 Latinas, Chef Pepe, and the rest of the crew. It brings us deep joy what she stood for and represents: a kind hard-working soul making a difference in Hispanic children and families. Her legacy will live forever and is a true inspiration to all.
