Last weekend our and Battery Steward programs joined the for Ward 5 Roll-Off Day.

The event was a huge success! Nearly 100 cars pulled up for shredding services, fully filled 3 Roll Off containers, 2 full truckloads of electronics and about 150 lbs of batteries!

The next Roll-Off event that DOEE will participate in is on September 7th, at the King Greenleaf Rec Center (201 N St SW).

Apparently, a group of Roseate Spoonbills is called a bowl. Imagine seeing a big, pink bowl of these beauties in the District–what a breathtaking view that would be!
