It’s the last night of Hanukkah, but we’re not ready to say goodbye. So one more throwback to Night 5. Thank you President DeGioia, members of the administration, and our partners in Campus Ministry for celebrating with us and supporting the Jewish community at Georgetown. Rabbi Daniel is now 95% fried potato and jelly donut, but it was a fun, meaningful, and joyous Festival of Lights.
We loved bringing Georgetown grad students from all campuses and programs together for the 4th night of Hanukkah at DC’s hottest Hanukkah pop up bar . It’s great to see and support local businesses showing Jewish pride and spreading joy.
Before she takes a well-deserved break, cruising through the Caribbean, we want to shout out our amazing Associate Director for Jewish Life, who makes everything at Georgetown Jewish Life possible. Deb oversees our fabulous GUish interns who welcome and engage new students., plans and organizes the Jewish Life retreats in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and is always available to meet with any student to talk about dogs, navigating college, Taylor Swift, and being Jewish. Whether she's delivering a d'var torah, baking challah, or offering excellent advice, Deb is building meaningful relationships and helping to strengthen our Jewish community. Thanks Deb! Now enjoy your vacation!
