What is AR coating? Anti-reflective coating, also called "AR coating" or "anti-glare coating," can eliminate reflections from the front and back surfaces of your eyeglass lenses. With reflections gone, more light passes through your lenses to optimize visual acuity with fewer distractions. This helps people see your eyes and facial expressions more clearly, provides sharper vision with less glare when driving at night, and greater comfort during prolonged computer use.

Why does blue light exposure matter? Your eyes have minor natural defenses against most wavelengths of light, but virtually all visible blue light passes through the cornea and lens and reaches the retina. The fact that blue light penetrates all the way to the retina is important because laboratory studies have shown that too much exposure to blue light can damage light-sensitive cells in the retina. This causes changes that resemble those of macular degeneration, which can lead to permanent vision loss.

Streff syndrome is a rare condition that most often occurs in pre-teens in which distance and near vision temporarily deteriorate brought on by high levels of emotional stress. It typically affects girls more than boys. Triggers could include a troubled home life, bullying, high anxiety and/or extreme pressure to get good grades.

We're often told how important sleep is for our health, but how does this affect our eyes?
Greens are good for eyesight and preventing age-related eye diseases, including cataracts and macular degeneration. They contain cartenoids such as lutein and zeaxanthin, which promote vision and the health of the retina.
