Third Actors from VA MD and DC got the opportunity to table at Neil Young’s concert in Bristow VA. So many great conversations! And really, what’s a little rain?
Giving $1 billion would be a “deal,” Trump said, because of the taxation and regulation they would avoid thanks to him. Oil giants will see an even greater windfall — helped by new offshore drilling, speedier permits and other relaxed regulations — in a second Trump administration.
Despite the oil industry’s complaints about Biden’s policies, the United States is now producing more oil than any country ever has, pumping nearly 13 million barrels per day on average last year and reported their biggest annual profits in a decade last year.
What Trump promised oil CEOs as he asked them to steer $1 billion to his campaign Donald Trump has pledged to scrap President Biden’s policies on electric vehicles and wind energy, and other initiatives opposed by the fossil fuel industry.
Third Act MD, VA, and DC planning to represent in Bristow, VA this Saturday.
Third Act on Tour With Neil Young
Third Act was invited to take part in ten of the seventeen concerts, beginning on April 24 and concluding at the end of May. Third Act leaders have mobilized teams of volunteers and are working their magic at tables designed by Third Actors. While tabling, they have the opportunity to highlight work underway regionally and invite interested folks to get involved.
Although every show will be distinctive, Young’s repertoire includes a number of legendary eco-themed songs, which trace the recent history of threats to the planet from the 1970s to present-day and capture the urgency of this moment for all living beings.
Remaining Tour Dates with Third Act:
May 8 – Franklin, TN
May 11 – Bristow, VA
May 12 – Camden, NJ
May 14 – NYC
May 17 – Mansfield, MA
May 22 – Clarkson, MI
In locations across West Virginia, pipe used to build the Mountain Valley Pipeline has been sitting in the open, exposed to the sun for more than six years. It is known that sun exposure degrades the coating on the pipe meant to move fracked gas 303 miles across West Virginia mountains and streams to Virginia and then North Carolina. Sign the West Virginia River Coalitions letter by 3 pm today asking FERC not to grant MVPs request to put this unsafe pipeline in service on May 23rd.
Sign WV Rivers Coalition's letter by *3pm today* to tell FERC to deny the Mountain Valley Pipeline’s absurd request to put their dangerous project in service this month! Their corroded pipe is failing hydrostatic testing, done at a fraction of the pressure the bad pipe will be under if methane gas was in it.

For the first time in 80 years, the Department of the Interior will auction off “restoration leases” and “mitigation leases” to entities with plans to restore or conserve public lands. They will use science to restore habitats, guide development, and sustain public lands for generations to come. Big oil is not happy.
