This Pride Month we are celebrating LGBTQ+ leaders that helped shape the nonprofit sector. Our first featured leader is Pauli Murray, whose dedication to intersectional equity pushed the nonprofit sector to grow towards a more inclusive environment.
Pauli Murray was an extraordinary individual whose contributions spanned multiple realms: a tireless civil rights activist, a co-founder of the National Organization for Women, and a legal scholar whose work profoundly influenced landmark cases such as Brown v. Board of Education.
Let’s honor Pauli Murray by continuing to push boundaries, amplify diverse voices, and ensure that our missions reflect the inclusivity and justice they so passionately fought for. Learn more about Pauli: https://bit.ly/3XvkZ1U

Does your nonprofit ask supporters for recurring donations?
A large individual donation is great, but fostering a recurring donor base is the gift that keeps on giving. Amid a dwindling number of individual donors, building a recurring donor base is an opportunity to bolster your nonprofit with the passion of its community.

Getting a remote team together is always a gift, but taking the time to specifically reflect as a group on our organization’s opportunities for growth is a true blessing.
This month, thanks to a BUILD Program grant from Ford Foundation, facilitator Jennifer Wofford led the team through the Organizational Mapping Tool (OMT). The two-day, in-person session gave us time to reflect on past successes, look at present challenges and opportunities, and envision the future.
We are thankful to get to gather our team of passionate advocates to reflect on our work on behalf of nonprofits and the communities they serve.
