The House GOP is using the NDAA to cut off abortion access, attack transgender people, and deepen racial and gender inequalities in our society. Democrats shouldn’t play along.
House Republicans Forcing Far-Right, Extremist NDAA on U.S. Communities These extremist Republican amendments should be rejected, and if they are not, Democrats ought to reject the whole bill itself.
"The fentanyl crisis, like all drug crises, is a public health emergency demanding a public health response. GOP plans to start a futile shooting war over fentanyl... [is] about talking tough and committing reckless violence."
Our Executive Director Sara Haghdoosti's latest in Salon:
New GOP target: Is war with Mexico next? House Republicans recently advanced a bill to categorize fentanyl as an internationally recognized chemical weapon
It’s not just bad science fiction, it is about to become reality. The Pentagon is taking steps to introduce AI into weapons systems.

Join us to hear from the U.S. Representatives Barbara Lee, Mark Pocan, Rev. Dr. William Barber II of the Poor People's Campaign, and other special guests about the newly introduced People Over Pentagon Act. The bill would cut the overall Pentagon budget by $100 billion, freeing up that funding for true human needs like climate justice, healthcare, education, and beyond.
20 years today, President Bush launched the invasion of Iraq.
Over the last 2 decades, countless lives have been shattered abroad and at home, and we may never know the full human cost of that war. This anniversary is a somber reminder of the devastating impact that violence-first US foreign policy can have on communities around the world.
We went to the Capitol this past week to commemorate this anniversary, reflect on the past 2 decades, and make sure that Congress remembers as well.
We will continue to work towards a future where the US uses its power and resources to help build true human security, not to destroy lives.
"Budgets reflect our values and priorities. It’s telling that as families struggle and see support they had during the pandemic evaporate, the Pentagon, which has never passed an audit, continues to get a budget windfall."
The Ballooning Pentagon Budget Makes Us Less Secure | Win Without War Today, President Biden released his budget proposal, which would increase military spending by an astonishing $28 billion from the previous year. This comes as the people of the United States face news of collapsing railways, massive job layoffs, and a worsening climate crisis.
We figured why not add some fun to tonight’s State of the Union?
‼️🚨 Well, we made a SOTU-themed Bingo! And we hope you’ll play along with us 🥳

"While Afghans suffer under Taliban rule and a crumbling economy, we must not add to their suffering in Afghanistan or here in the United States."
Enough Is Enough: We Cannot Fail Afghans Again | Win Without War The fact that the Afghan Adjustment Act didn’t make it into this year’s omnibus or receive a separate vote on the floor of the House or Senate is nothing short of a betrayal and threatens the security of over 78,000 Afghans currently in the U.S.
We hope you enjoy this Win Without War take on a holiday classic! ✨
On and every day, we believe another world of dignity, justice, and peace is possible, and a progressive US foreign policy can help us get there.
This NDAA is a disaster for everyday people in this country. It fails to address the most urgent security risks of our time while pouring $860 billion into policies that have failed over and over again.
We urges the House and Senate to reject this outrageous misuse of public resources and focus on legislation that will actually address the challenges of our era.
Win Without War Urges Congress to Reject FY23 NDAA | Win Without War Win Without War urges the House and Senate to reject this outrageous misuse of public resources and focus on legislation that will actually address the challenges of our era.
