We, the members of Oromo Community Organization of DMV area, are deeply saddened by the untimely passing away of our beloved Oromo hero and the greatest artist of all times, Artist Zerihun Wadajo. Our community wishes to extend our sincere condolences to Artist Zerihun’s family and friends.

Artist Zerihun used his legendary artistic talent to fearlessly reject injustice and create awareness, educating Oromo on the evil colonial system that befallen them, relentlessly calling the nation to speak up for their rights. Today, the generation he inspired are at the forefront of the Oromo struggle for justice, equality, and freedom. There is no doubt his name will be engraved along those of Oromo Heroes and Heroines who sacrificed their entire life for the rights and freedom of their people, the Oromo people. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
