U.S.VETS is a nonprofit providing housing & support services to homeless and at-risk veterans.
On this World Mental Health Day and always, we're proud to provide and connect veterans to critical mental health resources, including clinical services and peer support. Our therapeutic communities help prevent and end homelessness and instability, and empower veterans and their families in regaining independence.

U.S.VETS was proud to have our National Director of Programs, Calvin Jackson, and our National Su***de Prevention Coordinator, Justin Dahse, attend the Annual WWP Soldier Ride at the White House last week. It’s an honor to collaborate with organizations like WWP that highlight the needs of our veterans.
Community: a feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.
Today, community rings so true for our U.S.VETS family. Over 40 of our fellow community members volunteered to help U.S. VETS - Washington DC clients and staff have our very first all campus GI Party.
GI party: a thorough cleaning of a military barracks by its inhabitants.
In our case a full cleaning of our entire facility and we just couldn’t have done it without our community. A special thanks to Starr Dumpsters for coming in clutch with needed dumpster services!!

Today clients and staff at all U.S. VETS - Washington DC locations got to take a break from the day to day and experience the long awaited solar eclipse. BBQ, music, and a great time to relax and hang out. Wishing everyone a happy solar eclipse day!!
As we bid farewell to Executive Director Clifton Lewis, we celebrate a decade of his dedication and service. Clifton has led our DC site, providing support and guidance for many veterans, enriching lives and fostering opportunities. Our heartfelt thanks go out to him for his unwavering commitment to our cause.
Today marks 21 incredible years of serving homeless veterans in our nation's capital 🎉. Since 2003, we've been dedicated to providing vital support, housing, & hope to those who have served our country.

A huge shout out and thank you to all of our community friends, partners, and donors who support and bring holiday cheer to our veterans every year! 🎄
Nothing brings the spirit of the holidays quite like the youthful smiles and laughter of children. This past weekend U.S. VETS - Washington DC had the pleasure to host students from the Moses Brown School who came to help us get our holidays started! Decorations, gifts, cards along with great conversations over donuts and coffee was just what the holidays ordered! A huge shout out to the faculty and students of Moses Brown School for all their support in making the 2023 holiday season one to remember!

Ms. Corlissa Udoema, President/CEO and Founder of Contractor Solutions, one of the largest minority contractors with the Department of Defense, made several gallons of turkey noodle soup to warm the tummy’s and souls of our veterans here at U.S. VETS - Washington DC.
Acts of kindness such as these are what really tie our programs with the communities we serve in. Thank you
U.S. VETS - Washington DC Executive Director, Clifton Lewis, was proud to be part of the H.R. Crawford Gardens ground breaking event today. This development, located at 737 50th St. NE in Washington’s Ward 7, will provide 76 units of affordable housing that will serve seniors, including grandparents raising minor children who have previously experienced homelessness. Thank you to community providers that have made this vision a reality!
U.S. VETS - Washington DC staff members celebrated Thanksgiving with clients across all our programs. A special thanks to our Vice President of programs, Larry Williams, for coming to DC to celebrate with us ❤️ Great food and great company!
We are so thankful for all the support we receive from this wonderful community! We are especially grateful to the men and women who proudly served this country and to those individuals who continue to do so.
