In memory of Jim Duncan: NSCS member, former employee, and courageous cancer fighter, we are proud to announce the Jim Duncan Award for Perseverance. This award honors outstanding NSCS members who have triumphed over adversity or illness and are working towards achieving their educational goals.

Jim Duncan, a legacy we lost on October 20, 2018, joined NSCS in 1995 at The George Washington University and continued working with NSCS until 2009. Diagnosed with stage 4 cancer at 16, Jim beat the odds and lived with remarkable generosity, care, and humor.

We invite all eligible NSCS members with a minimum 3.0 GPA to apply for the James C. Duncan Perseverance Award and continue Jim's legacy of resilience and determination.
