Attention Families: All Tri County Head Start centers are CLOSED tomorrow, January 26th due to extreme cold. Please stay safe and warm and we will see you all at Lily on Thursday!
As a reminder: Today is the last day of the Tri County 2020-2021 school year. We hope your child(ren) had an amazing year and thank you for allowing us to be apart of your lives.
*Tri County Head Start will be closed tomorrow (staff work day) and Monday for the Memorial Day holiday. Summer session will begin on Tuesday, June 1st for the families that signed up for care.

Our Minnies classroom is celebrating Preschool Graduation! These kiddos will be off to Waterloo Schools next school year, and we’re so excited for their next adventure! 🎉🎓
Our Bees classroom spent some time enjoying the warm weather this morning! ☀️
The Lions classroom enjoyed the warm weather and went outside to learn about planting!
Our Minnies classroom hard at work learning their color song!
Our Dietician, Tracey, spent time with our Turtles classroom today! Tracey taught them all about planting and even helped them plant squash, rhubarb, and peppers!
The Jags put their chef’s hats on and made a vegetable soup! The kids were so excited to work together and mix all the ingredients!
*Teachers, Candace and Mary, put their own chef’s hats on to create an edible version that the kids LOVED. (But shhhhhhhhh, the kids don’t know that) 😉
The Turtles also spent time today learning about Earth Day! The kids had fun looking through items to recycle. They were able to sort paper, plastic, and cardboard and place them in bins!

In celebration of Earth Day the Minnies gloved up and went out on a walk to pick up garbage. They filled two garbage bags! They also took advantage of the nice weather and played at the park! ☀️🌎
The Lions also had a special guest join them on their walk today! Our Executive Director, Dr. Welch!
Lions went for a nice walk this morning to soak up some sunshine!
The Turtles are planting peppers! They are also learning how plants grow, and whether or not they will grow above or below the soil. These friends think their peppers will grow above the soil! They'll have to wait and see!

The Lions classroom had fun making their own fruit pizza over Spring Break!
The Minnies classroom has started learning about reducing, reusing, and recycling. Yesterday they went on a walk and picked up garbage to help our environment! They sorted the garbage and decided if it could be recycled! What a fun lesson! 🚛🗑
Yesterday was full of spring time fun! The kids enjoyed the warm weather and spending time playing outside! 🌸☀️🦋

The Cat in the Hat and Thing 1 & 2 stopped by to visit our kiddos yesterday!
Miss Kortney made her virtual classroom kids some letter flash cards! Along with the flash cards, Miss Kortney included instructions for 10 games they can play with them. Making learning fun is one of our main goals!

The Minnies dressed up for Wacky Wednesday, and the Turtles tried green eggs and ham!
