The Hoover Astronomy Club supports our student's interest in astronomy while fostering leadership skills and serving our community!
The Hoover Astronomy Club involves mainly 6th through 8th graders at Hoover Middle School. We meet weekly as a club to learn more about astronomy, build connections with other students who share a passion for astronomy, and to plan service projects and community events. From April to October, our club hosts monthly Star Parties that are free and open to the public. Star parties are your opportunit
Looks like beautiful skies tomorrow evening! We will have the Shirey Observatory open from 9-10:30pm Saturday, May 13th. Our observatory is located at the South end of Hoover Middle School's football field.
This event is free and open to the public!
Unless it clears considerably, we will have to cancel the star party this evening. We will make the call at 9pm officially.
